  • A few pictures I've taken recently. Although less than "cool" and pretty depressing to look at, they are quite amazing. That's what everything south looks like for about twenty miles.

  • 1st one is from Rattlesnake lake in November. Every year, about 70 percent of it dries out. Then it naturally just replenishes itself every year.
    2nd one.....Took this before the Vikings game.

    Yup. I have a ton of 'em. We can see the devastation from the house. After a while of seeing so much of it, you get sort of numb to it and it just becomes the new normal. I suppose it'd be different if our house burned down, but I'm glad I don't have to find out for sure. We're literally less than a football field from the edge of the burn, and it goes down the hill from us for miles and miles.

    Man, that's toooo close. Glad nothing happened to you! I should take a day trip up there soon and check it out for myself. Such a sad thing.
