  • Both photos are of the same thing, one from the top, one from the bottom.

Personally I’m not sure what it is but I feel like I’ve seen it/ these before.

Was found by archeology folks on or near Ft Lee.

It’s not that the item is unknown we are trying to see who/ how many know what it is.

My guess is that it’s a piece off of a vehicle or possibly an airplane.

Somebody here knows what it is, I can feel it.

    Image

I’m also assuming that it’s crusted with rust and or mineral deposits, making it metallic ?

  • Looks vaguely familiar. Maybe an end cleat/mount for a leaf spring?

  • My first thought was a brace for old rail roads, but I'm like 70% sure that's wrong.

Let's ask one of the posters that complained about untucked jerseys and long under shirts. I'm sure they're old enough to remember inventing this.

  • Looks like a brace or leg of something. It's metal. The tang on the end appears to have been connected to something. The three indentions at the base could be for screws or other fasteners. If I were guessing, it looks like the leg of a pot-bellied wood stove or something similar.

  • Judging by the size I would say agricultural or industrial. Since it's on a military base, I would look at bulldozer parts possibly. Or older? Plow mounts? Quite the puzzle piece though.

  • Could this be evidence of a lost civilization with advanced alien technology granted to them by time-travelling genetically modified trans-human hybrids known more commonly as... "angels"?

    Ancient astronaut theorists say, Yes.

  • Has a channel on one side and a tapered end on the other with three slots for mounting, it has to be some sort of wedge to secure something else in place that is adjustable.

  • Looks like a Jack part that helps you lift the side of a jeep or other motorized vehicle up for changing a tire or keeping it in the air. The back frame is more of a place that you would put in a channel for lifting. Old car jacks had that attachment for the bumper.Wow I am stinking old.....as of Sunday.

Yeah, was thinking that myself. The thing's really familiar looking, but I just can't place my finger on it. I know when we're told what it is, I'll kick myself for not identifying it.

  • Maybe it's a bracket for a student desk. The mount under the desktop that hooks it to the chair.
