  • I thought that Aha - Take On Me video was a well-done piece of animation art at the time, much like the animation shorts I used to go and see the La Jolla Museum of Arts' annual Animation Film Festival (back in the 80s when I lived near there). The juxtaposition and combination of live + pencil animation was pretty cool, and truth be told I still like it a lot for the same reasons.

No video, but I'm a huge fan of UFO from the 70s. Most any of their songs. Michael Schenker flaying the guitar.

Love this song and a quite underrated album imo. Saw the tour they did for it, front row balcony at The Paramount. Ray and Dave managed to not get into fisticuffs that night so that was a bonus.

Really dig Living on a Thin Line from the album too.

Yep, I was going to post Living On A Thin Line. Great song! I chose Do It Again because Thin Line seems to be better known, thanks to The Sopranos.

Great song and love the whole album. Also saw the tour, Tacoma Dome, '85 iirc. And hey, Ritchie and Ian weren't screaming at each other so that was a bonus.

Remake of this song by the Croatian punk rock band Psihomodo Pop. They're kind of a Ramones-ey punk band that has some pretty catchy tunes if you're into foreign music.

  • Prince annihilating the solo on While My Guitar Gently Weeps when George Harrison was inducted into the RRHOF. I visited the place summer before last while on a solo cross country and back motorcycle trip and they gave a video presentation in an acoustically superior room and this was the last thing they showed. They had the volume at near concert level through a fantastic sound system and though I'd seen this before, I still got chills watching him do this. Skip to 3:28 to see musical genius at it's finest.

  • I liked the whole Equinox album as well as Grand Illusion, they were popular and some say bubble gum rock back in the day, but they had such a clean sound and it was easy listening to them.

Oh and the first song that got my attention from them.

This is also a great song to go back and remember that first Lady that struck you stupid, you know what I mean that Girl that you saw for the first time and it became special.
