  • It's a Roadstar. Well, it started life as a Roadstar, but there's pretty much nothing left stock but the motor case. It was a Yamaha, 1600cc (98 ci) air-cooled pushrod V-twin, as close as you can get to a Harley without the price. In fact, my last bike (the one I was ran over on) was a 2001 Roadstar Silverado, and the replacement bike is a 2007 H-D Heritage Softail Classic (the blue one). If you ask me, they're the same bike.

  • Well, this was the informal thing in all honesty. It wasn't the mass graduation for the year. We didn't make that one sadly, as we had already road tripped to the wrong side of the States by then. But still... She puts up with a lot of my crap - I'm a pretty lucky guy in that regard.

  • My ineptitude really shows up when trying to link pics, so let's cross our fingers and hope these are images, rather than red X's or broken links:

This is me, morning of the Jets/Hawks snow game last year. The starter on my truck picked that day to go tits up, so the wife & I walked the 2 miles into Port Orchard to catch the ferry into Seattle:

  • That was quite a day for everyone making their way down to the game. My daughter and I waivered between going and not going and finally saying, "F it! We will go and either end up either at the game or in a ditch!" We took pictures of the whole day for a photo diary. Here are a couple:

The I-405 South/I-90 West Interchange around 9AM the morning of the game. If you are from the northeast and looking at this and thinking this isn't bad, realize that we don't have the plows and salt that you do and so even a few inches of snow is a hassle. Side streets were much worse, with sometimes a foot and a half of unplowed, ungravelled, unsalted snow. mixed with random ice crusts.

    Image

We parked at the Safeco garage, ate at Pyramid and made our way into the stadium. Woo hoo!

I would have to choose "Boat Drinks" "Juicy Fruit" and "One Particular Harbor"...JB does have some other really fun songs like "We're Still Here" from his concert tour last year, and "A Lot To Drink About" for his concert tour this year. There's so many good ones I can't list them all. Guess I really am a Parrothead. Listen to Margaritaville.com, it's great music and fun to listen to. :th2thumbs:

Me, son, wife, and a mystery member of Seahawks.net with his family at a professional soccer game last summer. Not pictured... my seven month old daughter who was only partway there at the time (meaning hiding in mom's tummy).

They make me shave for picture day. Who wants to be remembered as a scruffy slob? I do... but the boss doesn't like it:

  • Heh, ya I do like to give goofy faces thats for sure.

Right now Im doing lead guitar and lead vox for a thrash metal band called UncleAngst. Which you can check out here: http://www.myspace.com/uncleangst

In the studio now. Its sad really. We only have one show lined up for the CD release party then we will lose our drummer. So Im thinking about finally starting my Bob Marley tribute band. Wanna see a white guy fronting it? HA!

OKTOBERFEST! Some kid asked me about my heritage and our big contribution and Oktoberfest was the best I could come up with on the spot. He asked what it was... and I said everybody dances to polka and gets really hammered. For some reason it seemed more cultural the way my dad explained it to me as a kid.

I thought the same thing, 'specially with the color scheme. But, hey, the munchkin's sooo cute, who cares.
