on the left side of my mouth than on the right side. is that a thing that happens or am I just imagining it?

I'm trying to chew on the right now cuz I got a situation developing on the left but I swear the food don't taste as good. Weird.

Your tongues taste buds are hightened towards different sides/places of your tongue. Sweet in one area sour another etc.

There shouldn't be much difference between the sides, the tongue works mostly on the edges for taste and the back, middle is almost useless. You can lose taste in parts of your tongue if you smoke, or have a virus or bacterial infection in your mouth. Strokes and tumors could also contribute but usually this causes foods to start tasting odd or off as well.
