I don't know about that...there were quite a few great albums this year in rap...but damn, I am enjoying the crap out of Camp. I love the beat on Heartbreak.

J.Coles album is probably in the running for the best. Drakes album was wayyyyyyyyyy too feminine for me (Thank Me Later was better IMO but hits mixtapes were some of Drakes best stuff), the singing and girly songs are cool for like 4 tracks, but if you're a rapper (unless you're LL) shouldn't be doing that haha.
Does anyone here listen to Freddie Gibbs or Big Krit?

Exactly. He's one of the best rappers as far as skills go, diction and cadence are second to none. Subject matter and the music he makes, however, are definitely for a specific audience.
I recorded him once. Super cool dude, very respectful and professional, but you won't catch me really bumping his sh*t too often. Just can't really get into it.

I love this thread, and im bored so i'll post a few songs that probably have been my favorites for awhile that some might not of ever heard.
The beat on this song IMO is ridiculous, I love production like this. Love the style, Tragedy Khadafi is very very and severly under rated as an MC, even in the underground, Same goes for Cormega.

For some reason I just cant get into J. Cole. I keep trying to like but I just cant get into it. I dont hate it I just cant bump it. Tech Nine I just cant stand.
Right now I am hooked on The Roots and I cant figure out why. Not really a big East Coast guy and it is def east coast. The day I put it in I havent stopped. I move to something else it lasts a week and I am right back The Roots.

Man.. The Roots... Top 5 favorite hip hop group of mine, probably 4th behind Mobb Deep, Outkast, and Goodie Mob.
Did anyone know Black Thought actually ran for a political office? i forgot what he ran for, it was some small time district thing I don't know if he won but I always thought that was cool as hell.
Where does everyone go for new music though? I go to FreeOnSmash and TheSermonsDomain (something is very obvious about the dude/dudes who run that site, they're from Seattle) and Areyouinthatmoodyet.

I noticed you were from Wisconsin. Have you heard of this dude named Gerald Walker? hes from Milwaukee.
"scream" was produced by Kuddie Fresh. He used to be part of the CoOP Prouduction team with this cat named Tryfe. Tryfe is definetly one of the coolest dudes i've met in me trying to get my ishbop together doing beats, he really taught me and my partner in crime A LOT, even let us sit in on sessions when the artist was cool with it. Tryfe is doing some cool things too himself
