My grandfather, the man who raised me, has just lost his fight with his fourth cancer.

He got me into football when I was five, and created a die hard 12th man in the process.

Even though he stopped watching after 2005(for his health he said), he has always followed from the fringes.

I am grateful for everything I learned from him, and I will miss him.

RIP Richard Hodge

It's such a tough thing to lose someone you've looked up to your whole life. I hope the good memories will help comfort you.

First, my condolences and sympathies for you and your family. Second, this is why the whole "we can wait till next year" argument doesn't fly. I'm sorry your dad didn't get to see them win the whole enchilada.

Once again thank you guys.

We will be leaving for Aberdeen on Saturday, hope to make the game this weekend, it would be something he would have wanted me to do.

A significant reason to cheer for a Haws victory this Sunday.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather. I hope he was at peace in his final moments here.
Enjoy the game as best you can.

I'm sorry for your loss. Here's to a win Sunday for your granddad.

My grandfather took me on a tour of the Kingdome when it opened in 1976, and to a few Mariner's games back in the day. Great memories.
