  • What a pleasant surprise! Recognition is the key factor here, IMHO.

  • Third alternate? That's awesome though. Just don't get injured.

  • NICE...!!

15 years from now few of us will remember that he went as the 3rd alternate in his rookie year.

Hell, 15 years from now I'll be doing good if I can remember my own name and address... to put things in perspective.
your Superbowl XLVIII Champion Seattle Seahawks.. how sweet is that!!

  • He is so competitive, I bet he will play and try to win. He wants the ball AND he's going to score.

  • I easily see him throwing 4 or 5 TDs and winning MVP.

Hell it will be a nice little payday for him. Pretty sure thats motivation enough.

  • Didn't I hear something about the Pro Bowl won't be the joke it's been in recent years due to so many people complaining? I know it will never be treated like a regular game but I thought I heard somewhere that we can expect the Pro Bowl to be more competitive...Bods well for Russ since I don't think he has any other gear.

Seriously wouldn't surprise me if he were the only one who approached it like a regular game.

  • Wilson gets to play with his mentor Drew Bress not to mention Eli Manning who have both won Super Bowls, throw to elite recievers, hang out with future Hall of fame players like Tom Brady, Payton Manning etc and gets to help recruite FAs to come to Seattle this is the perfect storm!!!! GO HAWKS!!!!

  • Anyone feel like Wilson's competitive nature and preparation might not sit well with the veterans? LOL.

I just get the feeling like Wilson will treat this game seriously, because of his aforementioned attributes and the fact that he's the type of person that puts pride in his performance and representing himself, his family, and his team and city out there that he won't just "go through the motions."

Veteran Pro Bowlers are going to be like "this kid is making us look lazy!"

I'm just hoping he won't get nicked up throwing a block for Adrian Peterson 30 yards down the field, and he'll enjoy his first Pro Bowl with his family in Hawaii. :)
