Time to start this new adventure. I'm heading over for the weekend of March 1st-3rd... more than likely just myself, and i will just gonna take my dogs, go check out the Spokane area, as well as the Coeur d'Alene area and see what it has to offer... but I haven't been there since I was 10yrs old.
Any recommendations of what to see and check out and stay away from ? I plan on driving around the area and checking out neighborhoods and such as this area has kinda been a destination I wouldn't mind moving to for the past few years...

I love Jack & Dan's as far as bars go. Plenty of hot Gonzaga girls go there (my wife used to ). Best view of the city (preferably at night): 724 W Cliff Dr Spokane, WA 99204 Get some really good food at Lindaman's. Riverfront Park is nice. I haven't spent much time in Couer D'Alene, but I enjoyed the drive around it the entire lake.

1. Don't tell DJ where to find college chicks, think of the children. 2. You have to be careful using phrases like "bang for the buck". DJ is going to get slapped with a restraining order at Dicks. In the places he's used to frequenting that phrase has a whole different meaning.
Other than that, I have no contributions. In my experience Spokane wasn't my cup of tea, but we only went there for family reunions (which bored the crap out of me) so I probably don't have very unbiased recommendations.

Thanks for the warning I'll let the neighbors know to keep doors locked during that time.

It gets hotter during the summers over on the east side It snows more on the east side (and gets colder - that i like) It rains less on the east side It's not as congested on the east side It still has plenty of green areas and nice lakes and such on the east side plus, i have nothing to loose to have a change of scenery and lifestyle... if i don't like it, next stop is wherever i want to go

Eastern Washington is probably the closest thing to being in a desert without actually being in one.
I have been in the Spokane area for a little over a year and I love it. Quiet neighborhood, slower pace of life, and traffic is nothing compared to to the Olympia-to-Bellingham rat maze.
