Atleast gangnam style made me laugh several times because of its hilarity but gangnam style got really repetitive after you watched 2 of them. They are incredibly predictable but they are also everywhere. Harlem Shake = Justin Beiber of fads

I have seen several videos on the webz with titles including "Harlem Shake". I haven't watched a single one of those videos and frankly don't even know what Harlem Shake is because I could tell it's probably stupid.

I'm not sure what it is really. I've heard of it but haven't watched anything. I did find this Gotham Shake.

Yes, it used to be a good underground dance track...actually produced a year ago. Not known by the masses, only people that really like electronic music.
Now its a fad every kid wants part of and is the number 1 track on Itunes.

True. I hate how in the entertainment and music industry in particular...its often a gimmick or viral video that propels one to fame - rather than actual quality of production.
