Funny, that article basically talks about just ONE game. It curiously omits mention of the other games Tebow played at QB for the Broncos.

And you're going to talk about completion percentage for the Jets when he threw all of 8 passes?

I'm not sure what you get out of tilting at this particular windmill, but it's starting to get laughable.

I get checks from Tebow for every post! No, I just thought people would like both sides of a story.

Let me ask...Do you only want one side of the story? Those people who get shoved one side and then told to run off and tell others are sheep...thats not the .Net members style of doing things!

Tebow has done some great things for the NFL, his team and the fans...it should all be noted (even the records he has set in the NFL).

Tim is seemingly a terrific person, whether you agree with his religion or not. He's a very hard worker who can inspire others and lead them. It's hard to dislike him when taken on his own merits. But the fan and media circus that surrounds him is a major distraction and leads to negative backlash.

Unfortunately, the Tebowmaniacs can't see the forest for the trees where Tim is concerned. All they can see is that he had some comeback victories and won a playoff game. They don't want to acknowledge that his release is slow, he is an inaccurate thrower and that Denver's defense was getting run ragged keeping them in those games in order to enable those last-minute heroics. They also don't want to admit that their fanaticism regarding Tebow causes problems for him.

He'd probably have been better off getting drafted in the middle or even late rounds. He could have had time to work on his throwing mechanics, etc., without the unrealistic expectations that were heaped on him by the combo of his college success and his high draft position.

And by a team in a less prominent media market. :229031_shrug:

Spokane, I'm impressed that you can call Chris Kluwe a side show circus in one thread whilst promoting Tim Tebow in another. That's really quite special.

From what I've read, the people making the big issue out of Tebow's religion are his supporters. Russel Wilson tweets bible passages on a daily basis, I don't see the fanbase up in arms about that. What I do see are people saying, repeatedly, that Tebow isn't good enough to play quarterback in the NFL.

Actually, Volsung, yeah he is. You can point out the 8 pass attempts all day long as being too small of a sample size and his response will be

"he completed 75% of his passes and did everything he was asked...derp derp derp"

And that's what he hangs his hat on. The fact that he only had 8 pass attempts is irrelevant to Spokane. He'll point point out his comebacks in Denver without acknowledging that it was Tebow that dug those holes in the first place.

Unfortunately for Tebow, if it weren't for the media/fan circus, he could have a 15-year career as a third-string QB and part-time positional specialist. I know he's a competitor and wants to start, but that sounds like a dream life to me. But it's just not even an option for him because nobody wants to deal with the distraction.

LMAO! Look how many people called Tebow a side show circus but then promoted some bum in a different thread...Did you call them out?

What is going on here? Why are there freaks who just can't deal with Tebow...get over him and yourself!

Kluwe (Its funny how its the people who can't make a pay check in sports, who are the ones who talk) Wrote a letter to an ELECTED cussing him out/name calling for having the same view as one of his family members...Did Kluwe write any of his family members cussing them out over the issue? No. The SIDE SHOW FREAK lashes out at the guy who can raise his taxes . Yes Kluwe has no clue.

lol. very close! I would also add the 8 passes was the body of work that they allowed him. They pulled a guy hitting on 75% of his passes when they were wondering who should be the QB, I expected layoffs in the FO and staff.

The fact that he only had 8 pass attempts is irrelevant to Spokane. He'll point point out his comebacks in Denver without acknowledging that it was Tebow that dug those holes in the first place.
The guy hit on 50% of his passes in Denver...Yes thats a problem and yes that will dig holes. I am not saying he is the Zorn of this era. However he has shown flashes, and still has something in the tank.

They were all short passes on trick plays too, do they REALLY count?

I got a serious, serious, case of Tebow fatigue.

If he could read defenses and accurately deliver the ball to a spot on time he wouldn't be sitting at home waiting on a call from his agent. Heck if he hadn't been selected in the first round Josh McDaniels might still be the head coach of the Broncos (ok maybe that's a stretch, but hey I want to play this game too).

Over it. Sick.and.tired.of.tebow.

There, put that in the news.

This. Although I'd like to add that I'm tired of Spokane swinging off his nuts as well.

That's my interpretation of a good write up on Tebow.

You can send the Pulitzer addressed to the .net po box and I'll have Les pick it up next time he does the bank deposits for rockhawk. Thank you and goodnight.

So, expressing your opinion makes you a side show freak? Kluwe can write to whoever he wants, it's his right. And as far as his family goes, there's every chance he talked to them in person rather than write them a letter.

As far as Tebow goes, I've never understood the fascination. He's not a very good QB, and while the circus that goes along with him isn't his fault, it's annoying as all get out. There's a reason Denver shipped him out as soon as they could. There's a reason Tebow is sitting at home with no job right now. He's not worth the roster spot.

Edit: That's not really an article, it's more of a piece of trivia with Tebow's name attached to it.

Yeah the non-stop dump off plays for Tebow is its own issue. I thought it was for one of two reasons..1) He really does suck at throwing the long ball 2) Some crazy plan to keep his numbers low (that is a lot of dump offs)

However it was the 3rd option that I did not think of...3) Rex said "We did not use his skills correctly"

So due to Rex admiting the dump off plays were flawed, however Tebow still hit his guys - I would have to say Yes the dump offs count, Like Sachawk2.0 said "Tebow did everything he was asked, and did it well."

Bingo! Every concern, cuss word, put down or freak out about Tebow could be said about any other QB.

But but but Tebow sucks... GROW UP! Stop being a punk hater just to be a punk hater...Did he kick your dog???? Then GROW UP!

Thing is, though, that's not true.

You never heard people wondering why Peyton Manning's throwing mechanics were abysmal and never seeming to get better. You don't hear people talking about Tom Brady's accuracy being terrible or about Philip Rivers being a scattershot type of QB.

When Tebow got lots of playing time in 2011, the Broncos won games by the Denver defense keeping the game close the entire time, and then Tebow was able to run around and improvise against a tired and worn out opposing defense. If you doubt that, just look at how Tebow was performing in the first three quarters of the games he played that season. Dude couldn't complete even 40% of his passes.

People may want to talk about that Pittsburgh OT game when Dick LeBeau had what was likely his worst DC game ever, but they conveniently forget the Broncos game the week before. Denver needed to beat KC to guarantee that it won the AFC West with a 9-7 record, as San Diego and Oakland were both pushing for that division title as well. It was essentially a playoff game, and the Broncos were playing against a 6-9 Chiefs team led by Kyle Orton. So how did Tebow step up and deliver in this crucial game to clinch the AFC West?

6/22, 60 yards, 1 INT, 1 lost fumble, 20.6 passer rating

Clutch! The only reason the Broncos even had a chance to beat the Steelers in a fluke game was because the Raiders choked against the Chargers. All three of those teams finished 8-8, and the Broncos won on tiebreakers.

And then, yeah, the Steelers game. The only game that people point to as evidence that Tebow can do anything in this league as a QB.

Remember what followed that? 9/26 for 136 yards, 1 lost fumble, passer rating under 60. Denver met an offense it couldn't stop in the Patriots, and Tebow was completely incapable of leading that team to anything resembling a close game (and that was against a team that ranked nearly DEAD LAST in pass defense that season).
