It saddens me to see people make fun of the mentally ill. Our society has a long way to go. America is especially barbaric when it comes to the treatment and care of the mentally ill.

None of you would laugh at this kid if he had leukemia. Schizophrenia is just as serious and just as deadly, and like cancer, is not something that is chosen by those it hurts.
