Well, they do need a catcher as Kelly isn't an everyday catcher anymore and Sucre is hurt and probably headed to the DL. The Banks kid they just called up was barely hitting .200 in AA and Montero is hurt for 6-8 weeks and probably suspended for 50 games once the MLB drops the hammer on him and the others on the PED list. They are calling him up because they are out of options at C.

I'd rather keep Bantz until either Jesus is ready to come back than rush Zunino to the majors. Awful move that could seriously hurt his development. He's not ready.

Yeah, I've got a lot of faith and hope invested in Zunino, but I think it's too early.

So, Aaron Harang just threw a two-hit shutout.

In other news, the Astros are truly abysmal.

Marlins are worse than the Astros right now.

True but Harrang is like that. He will get shelled one night and throw a cgso. Even against decent competition.

What's Montero got to do with the catcher position?

And of course Tom craps the bed and costs the M's their first sweep of the season. Still only team to not have swept a series yet in the majors.......pathetic.

Gotta stick with Wilhelmsen, he's your closer.

What if we made him...not our closer?

Gotta stick with him, he's your closer.

Yeah but what if he wasn't.

But he is.

But we can replace him.

But you gotta stick with him, he's your closer.

My honest opinion is that with a team this bad, with a season all but lost, who gives a flying fffffffccckkkk(no u makes it ok, right?) about a closer? It's not a big deal. We can pitch whatever relievers we want to see some time. If Wilhelmsen isn't closing anything, just play guys you want to see in the big leagues. He can't control his pitches at all lately, move on, pitch Furbush for ffffffccckkkk's sake. Who cares? Get younger guys some experience and build a sample size you're happy with to make decisions on them. Let Wilhelmsen work out his problems in a non-game situation. He's young enough that he might be an asset worth holding onto if we can put something together with our prospects in a couple of years, but he's not so young that you need to force it.
