George Karl wins first coach of the year

  • About damn time. I thought he was pretty good when he coaches the Sonics but this year he led denver to a ten record 58 wins going 38:3 at home. Naturally though they went out in the first round. Would have enjoyed seeing him win an NBA championship.

  • Well deserved. Top-5 coach in the game, for sure.

  • Good for him. Guy has earned it. Coaching GP in his youth alone would have driven a lot of other coaches to early retirement.

  • Too bad his style doesn't play well in the playoffs. Great regular season coach.

  • I think George will get a championship, eventually. Larry Brown won one in Detroit using the same "more team" less superstar approach. Pop has done it as well.
