  • Ann Wilson also sung the national anthem at the very first preseason game played at the stadium (it was called Seahawks stadium at that time)

  • Funny, after the (subpar, IMO) anthem yesterday, I told my wife it'd be cool if they could have Eddie Vedder or Ann Wilson sing it next week if we win. This is great. Maybe Nancy can raise the flag. J/K, hoping for Holmgren there. If not him, Paul Allen, since we had a good outcome last time he raised it for the NFCCG.

Actually it's Nancy that's married to Cameron Crowe. Ann is single (last I've heard) so I still have a shot at marryin' a heart chic. :D

Well she's a fine guitarist but her voice ain't why she's in the band. Ann's is.

Nancy is usually not far from Ann. Maybe they raise the 12th man flag that day?

  • http://vimeo.com/m/54117678 Here's a vid of her singing the National Anthem in 2012 at a Cowboys Thanksgiving game I'm not impressed at all. She might have been great back in the day but as of now she's lost that powerful voice

Hey KC,,,that's her sister Nancy that was married to Cameron Crowe the director. They were divorced a couple of years ago tho I find it hard to think he found anyone better looking than Nancy, she is still gorgeous.

Man, why is her weight even part of this discussion or any other discussion as it relates to her as a singer? Who gives a shit? I've seen a LOT of singers in my day and she along with Grace Slick and Linda Ronstadt have the best female voices I've heard live in concert. Try this. If you don't get chills from this performance, you have no freakin' soul:
    From the white sands
    To the canyon lands
    To the redwood stands
    To the barren lands

What I remember seeing them as, in fact I seen them at the Rollar Skating Rinks in the area before Dreamboat Annie was released and my wife was in the same recording studio with them at the time.

They have a much hotter look in the 80's with the hair but these two vids are before they became a mega band.

  • Sorry Chris the modulator because you've extended my point about your lust for big hair...

Trust me. Heart created who and what they are during their cutting edge years of the 70's (before MTV and the 80's and big hair)

  • As I stated I seen them in my teens at the Skating Rinks in our area, I know exactly who and what they were and are, as I also stated my wife shared the recording studio with them in the early years as well.

They made their own footprint, the Airbrushed photes of the 80's is when they were marketed hard as glamor and sex role models by the record company after Mushroom Records.

    Ahhh, ahhh, bullshit. sniff*

Must be coming down with a cold.

I grew up in this area, freind of mine used to jam in his basement with Jeff Tate also, wife was a singer in the late 70's and early 80's, this area was pretty close as far as musicians and bands go. Also grew up listening and watching Rail and Company later shortened to Rail and a band called Chinook who was big at the time.

Believe what ya will, but I'm done , I was trying to be helpful and wasn't looking to being called a liar.

Its actually the other way around, Nancy has been the slender one.

I worked for a record and tape distributor in Springfield, Or. in those years and had a chance to meet them. Really nice people. And Howard Leese who played stringed instruments for them for years is one of the greatest.
