I see this as a win/win. Yes Unger was injured a lot of last year but I would never bad mouth him. He gave the Seahawks some great years. The Saints interior line is strong. Add Unger to that line and they are looking good inside. On the Seahawks side that means Carp and Unger are gone...
The TE in this offense needs to be able to block. Blocking is not his strong point. Will Luke Willson get better in his 3rd year? He blocks well & toward the end o the year started to play much better. A bit disappointed he disappeared in the SB after the Patriots had been terrible vs the TE...
It's obvious he is not a #1 or #2 for that matter however in my opinion he is what this team is all about. Works his ass off, blocks, does all the little thing & yea maybe a few drops here and there but has proven when the game is on the line he steps up & makes the big play. I'll take him...
If they get Spiller they would need to unload either Turbo or Michael. How funny would that be, (if Lynch comes back) Lynch & Spiller in the backfield. Both drafted by the Bills. He would be a nice change of pace. Excuse my ignorance but didn't Spiller only return kick offs and not punts or...
Interested to see what you think the Seahawks will do to improve the return game. Walters was sure handed but was not a threat.
I'd love to see Jacoby Jones in a Seahawks uniform. He is a dangerous returning and would be a nice deep threat.
I was hoping they want I formation with Tuf in the game in front of ML. Try to sneak the FB through while everyone keys on Lynch & Wilson running a read option.
Than Tuf fumbles and everyone says WTF, why would you give it to a converted DL / FB who touched the ball less then 10 times all year...
Might be a crazy idea but what about trying to trade with the Bears for Bennett? Julius Thomas will get too much. Cameron is an injury concern. Gresham is talented but seems to be an underachiever thus far in his career.
Bennett has 2 years left on his deal. Figure Zach Miller will be cut...
Edelman was a college QB. Too a few years to develop into a pro WR but I would take a player like Edelman on this team any day.
Not saying BJ will be an Edelman but why not give it a shot & see how he starts to develop.
I had heard someone mention Vincent Jackson. If the #'s work I would love to see him in a Seahawks uniform. Would prob have to trade a 5th for him but the risk to reward is worth the pick they would have to trade to get him.
Another guy who is a free agent & reminds me of Clint Mcdonald is Dwan Edwards. Not a sexy player but has a motor that doesn't quit and would look good in the 3rd down nascar package.
