    Appears many are bailing

That's probably true. Just as I probably could do your job, or you, mine.

    Appears many are bailing

Setting aside your sarcasm, I'm going to address your question with sincerity. It depends what you mean by "better". My Seahawks would win less games now. Probably way less. The idea would be to delay gratification in order to begin again from a more solid foundation. To make it more likely to...

    Appears many are bailing

As much as I grumble about the things I would do differently were I GM, and as sure I can be that I would get it so much more right, the truth is I feel this has been the best off season we've had in some time. We've let guys go who weren't worth what it would have taken to resign them, and whom...

Makes a lot of sense. Was so tired of Pete but I'm excited about this new chapter. Win or lose, it will be fun.

    Lock to Giants

I've not seen anything that indicates he could be a franchise QB. He's extremely athletic. Perhaps he could play another position really well. But he doesn't have the arm or the intangibles to be an NFL QB, at least not a starter. I've seen way more from Lock than I've seen from Fields.

    Lock to Giants

That's fine but not at the price of a first or second, which is what the Bears are saying they want. At that price, I'd tell 'em to pound sand.

    Lock to Giants

Trading for Fields, unless we got him for a 6th or 7th, would be another boneheaded move. He's not a franchise QB and it's a one-year rental because no one is picking up his 5th year option. Then he goes to the highest bidder.

    Lock to Giants

Please say more. You see Geno as a pocket passer, who evades but isn't really a runner, with a strong and accurate arm for downfield passes? Is that where you see him more capable than Lock? I see Lock as a guy who can do those things and more, with more mobility and a stronger arm. I see his...

    Lock to Giants

Color me skeptical. The NFL is so different from college and, say what you will about Geno, his arm talent is nowhere near that of Penix. There are throws Penix can make that even Mahomes doesn't make as well. At his best, perfectly placed, layered throws between defenders, where only the...

    Poll: Leonard Williams trade

True. Plus every organization does its own calculus and the market gets reset by the most generous (or foolish). When the cap goes up, the gains seem to go disproportionately to those most in demand. Pass rushers stand high in that pyramid.

    Lock to Giants

Had the same thought. If he had stuck around, I think the new coaches would have given him a real chance. We're paying Geno whether he starts or not. No reason to keep Lock on the bench if he were the better QB.

    Lock to Giants

My sense is he was never given the chance. Geno was Pete's guy.

    Lock to Giants

I'm with you. Not a fan of moving up because it generally means paying a king's ransom, which is rarely smart. When KC moved up to grab Mahomes, it didn't cost them much. I also agree that trading future picks is not a good idea when the team may be stepping back for a bit.

I'm down with this analysis. I'd add only that Parkinson was a guy I'd have liked to have signed, as I could see him becoming something special. But not at any price and if we could just afford to resign one, Fant is the guy with the most talent. Not the most production last year but let's see...

    Lock to Giants

Who knows. Rob Staton has been wondering if they're going to try to move up to target someone they like. Perhaps Maye or McCarthy. I have no idea if any of these guys are worth what it would cost. But our coaches should know these guys inside out, given how recently they were at Michigan and...
