WR Jermaine Kearse re-signs with Seahawks 3yrs/13.5m

Pretty pleased with this. I've been super hard on Kearse in the past, but he was actually really good this year. I think that was a combination of iimproved skill, rapport with Russ, and being in a less prominent role. He's trending up imo.

    Pretty incredible Tom Brady stat

Some of you guys are so salty when it comes to Tom Brady. It's kind of funny. He's the GOAT. Give the man his credit.

So let's talk about Russell Wilson

Football gloves don't warm your hands up very much. There are some that are designed to be used in cold weather, but are quite a bit thicker leading to less dexterity. I doubt a quarterback would want to wear one of them.

Adrian Peterson: Marshawn is 2nd to me

I've seen plenty of them all and like I said I believe AP to be the best. He's the same standard deviation above his peers as Jim Brown was, albeit in a time where the athletes are far greater and more specialized to their positions. The one area you could say Brown has an edge is in durability...

RW and ADB pre-game @ Arizona

They reenacting that Star Trek fight scene where Kirk took on that lizard monster?

Adrian Peterson: Marshawn is 2nd to me

AP's not wrong. He's an entirely different animal. I have him as the greatest running back of all time regardless of what he does going forward. I've seen enough.

    Re-watched the AZ game again

Thanks Kearly for a great and thought provoking read!

Will ADB be tweeting Cris Carter tonight?

Capital expended homie. Percy Harvin (big $$$ and picks), Jimmy Graham ($ and picks), Paul Richardson (2nd round pick), Tyler Lockett (picks to move up to get him).

Mike Pettine: Russell Wilson not quite among top tier of QBs

If that's your criteria, Brees has to be elite. Ya, ya, Sean Peyton offensive, but Brees is criminally underrated which I don't completely understand.

Seahawks Sign Stanley Jean-Baptiste CB to practice Squad

Pretty sure Burley came from Colts. SJB by far the most talented CB the Hawks have brought in though as long as I've been following them.

Seahawks Sign Stanley Jean-Baptiste CB to practice Squad

As the resident Nebraska fan this is awesome. I think very very highly of SJB, in comparison to Seisay who was essentially a backup (and a bad one to boot). If Stanley Jean "The Interception Machine" has the mind/heart he will be a great pickup. Very talented.

    Vernon Adams Jr Draft projection

Don't forget to mention he's not even in the same league as Wilson in the arm talent department. Wilson has a canon. Stories are that his arm was so live at the combine that Brandon Weeden, who originally wasn't going to throw, decided to hop in because RW's ball was literally humming.

Oline playing better - still high priority?

Yes yes yes yes yes absolutely yes. They've been playing better, but they're still not great. Not to mention we're an injury away from the whole situation being a complete disaster once again.

Has anyone rethought were Wilson's ceiling may be now?

Where's the guy who did a complete 180 on his opinion of Russell after he had a dream where Pete Carroll told him one chilling word about why they weren't offering him a big contract, "ceiling". That cracked me up. No shade btw.

Russ's best Comparison as a QB?

I might be a bit unique on this one, but Russ has always reminded me of Joe Montana. Joe was always pretty shifty and good at working when things broke down. Russ is obviously way more athletic, but there's just something about that gamer intangible. Their body language is also similar, as is...

    R-E-L-A-X. (Packers vs Lions)

His pass protection is still WAAAAAAYYYYY better than Russell has had at many times the past couple years. ARog is holding the ball and protection is only going after he breaks the pocket and 4-5 seconds go by. RW dealt with free runners and lineman getting pushed right in his face. And people...

    Hunter Henry- TE, Arkansas

No homerism there. Henry is a freaking stud. Would love to see him with the Hawks.

    Tom Brady

Well, the Bills were hyped up pretty hardcore on D until he eviscerated them. Jets are a good defense with a lot of talent and he schooled them soley on his arm. Pitt is 7th in PPG. Miami was playing real well until last night. All those teams (except probably the Steelers) have a lot of talent...

Problem with NFL That You Dont See in Baseball

Just fyi, no one other than Seahawks' fans know or care about Bill Leavy either. I didn't know anything about the controversy of that SB til I started following this board.

    Patriots at Colts

While I'm glad he blocked it, that's not really that impressive of an athletic feat. Key thing is timing. My sister could jump over those interior guys.
