I have a feeling it might be Jihaad Campbell tomorrow...

Before y'all freak out, our Schneider will throw us a bone, ok draft some o-line in day 2 or 3.

I will be happy with that.

I wouldn't hate it. However, I'm leaning Grey Zabel. There is just too much smoke with this one. Matt Miller, Todd McShay, Brady Henderson, and others have all mentioned Zabel as a target.

Last year, I learned my lesson. The Seahawks are really risk-adverse in the first round. They tend to take the cleanest and most productive player at a relatively needy position. So much smoke with Byron Murphy last season, that I waved the white flag my hard-headed selft refused to accept. The smoke was correct.

2 drafts ago, I refused to do this for JSN. I got Witherspoon right though.

3 draft ago, I refused to follow the smoke on Charles Cross. You get the point...Follow the smoke in the first round.

**I actually think the Seahawks like Zabel as a center. It's actually a premium for a Kubiak offense. It's so important that a first round selection is worth it. Plugging Zabel in at center will also allow you to draft additional linemen and in particularly guards**

I'd be extremely happy if they landed one of Zabel, Donovan Jackson or Booker. It feels like our positioning is not set up for it though. Zabel could be off the board by 18 and the other two guys feel a little early for 18, at least by consensus rankings. And a trade back seems like it might be hard to do this draft, sounds like there aren't many teams wanting to move up. We might end up looking at second tier guys like Ratledge, Savaiinaea, Mbow, Milum, etc later in the draft. Just my thoughts, what I've been worrying about.

fwiw, I really like Zabel as a center also. If we got him, we could start him at LG with the idea of moving him to center down the road.

If John and Mike look at Campbell and see an All Pro and/or perennial Pro Bowl linebacker, then grab him when you can.

If not, they go in a different direction.

I love Campbell but he has an injury where he may sit for a bit, are the Seahawks ok with that?

I agree on the importance of center. They are the QB of the offensive line.
