Milroe sucks. I've watched him in College. He's a one read Alabama QB. His last season was 16 TDs and 11 interceptions with a stacked room. He should be elevating his players and even coaches. He did not and failed too. I have no hope. At this point, I'd rather taken a flier on Shadeur, at least he feels the "type" of QB we have with Sam Darnold. Pocket Passer who cant run nor anticipate throws.

Should've spent the pick somewhere else even if its a homerun pick.

People keep trying to compare him to Lamar Jackson coming out of Louisville (because of our head coach coming from Baltimore) but Lamar Jackson was actually great at throwing the ball. What a waste of a draft pick.

Lamar was no great at throwing the ball. He had issues. Then he worked passed rhem and always makes a run at MVP

Like I said in the main thread. I don’t mind picks like this. Yes they can go either way, but can’t any? He’s got the natural ingredients to become a very capable QB, and there’s work to be done to get him there….. but if he’s coachable and can develop his game, it could be a good pick.

This is so disingenuous. Lamar carried a god awful Louisville team for multiple years. He won a heisman too. He showed throws that showed his accuracy but tried to carry his team too much.

Milroe had a team full of blue chippers in Alabama. Did nothing with saban and saban retired. Here comes UW’s old coach, DeBoer, a QB whisperer. We’ve seen what he’s done with penix at UW. Oh no Milroe poops the bed. Even with a stacked roster versus other competition.

And don’t compare Russ to Milroe. Russ led his North Carolina wolf pack to a bowl game, transferred to a new team In Wisconsin, then led that team under a new offense to the rose bowl. To learn a new offense and do that ina year while maintaining that accuracy is amazing

No. Lamar Jackson was referred to as a running back at the quarterback position. Incredibly just like Milroe. I would suggest it was before your time and that's why you don't know that. Milroe is a project. A first round grade project we got in exchange for GeNo with MVP upside. It's a bombshell of a pick. Polarizing. Yet it's just a third. Now we can solidify the position and clear out the qb room. Our group in now Sam Darnold and Jalen Milroe. We are better. The Seahawks have a present and a future.

Just before my time? I'm a 2012 register and watched football befoore that. You didnt watch a lick of college football if you actually believe the Lamar stuff. I provided evidence how he carried Louisville and was provided with a Heisman. YOU didn't do a rebuttal. People were surprised he dropped because people thought he was a "running qb" (your words) to Baltimore at the end of the first round. I suggest you REWATCH that NFL draft. You didnt even watch that draft you just googled and listened to other pundits.

People were not surprised at all at Milroe getting picked at third

Disgraceful quit insulting others by saying "before your time".

You .. didn’t provide anything other than a statement which instead isn’t evidence of anything, let alone when you’re trying to state it as “facts” a common problem on these forums is the amount of people who want to state thier opinion as facts, and then get ass chapped when someone is simply just disagrees.

Agree to disagree. Nothing wrong with you disliking him with other posters and other people liking him. Regardless of who the QB is it, you’ll have a mix of people who like it and don’t.

Milroe is definitely not L. Jackson coming out of college. Jackson was an underrated passer coming out of college and people lost sight of that because they focused on his amazing skills as a runner. But what Milroe can do is make all NFL throws but he needs to develop his accuracy further and processing pre snap. If you have to make a comparison to Milroe it is better to compare him to Hurts.

But honestly Milroe has a good feel throwing fades and near the sidelines unlike Hurts so Milroe is very unique and it is hard to compare him to other players.

I watched Hurts this past season skip the ball into the dirt at his WR's feet on the boundary but Milroe isn't going to do that as he is very clean throwing to the sidelines and on the boundary downfield whether with velocity, over the top or even with fades.

Most young QBs struggle with the middle of the field and identifying the mike and safety pre snap so Milroe has a ways to go. But that is true of all young QBs that come into the NFL.

He's got a LB body and he loves running up the middle - hey diddle diddle. He can hit any spot on the field from any other spot. It will be great to see him in trick plays. It's a good thing we don't need him to start this year.

With Darnold, we have the luxury of time to let JM develop. If Darnold stinks up the joint, Milroe gets his chance. If he stinks it up too, then we draft another qb next year with a likely much higher pick. There's no real downside to this.
