Even with Geno having a very poor season so far, this offense would be way better with Teo, Geno, and Kelenic over Garver, Haniger, and Polanco. Basically the only move they made in the offseason that has worked out was Raley for Cabby, and even that one is pretty close.

As sad as it is, we would have been better off if they did literally nothing this past offseason. That's how bad the offseason was. They actually made the offense as a whole worse, while epically failing to cut down on the strikeouts. I hate to keep saying it, but this past offseason was a complete and utter disaster. If this team fails to make the post season, the large majority of the blame rests on the front office literally making an already not very good offense even worse, imo.

If the offense can turn it on they will be tough to beat. Have to think Juilo will return to Julio form as he's already starting to heat up but they need to get a bat at the deadline too.

Julio's definitely been trending the wrong way. Needs to figure it out fast.

I've often wondered that myself. The job ad for some of the coaches Ms have hired in the last few years must have included "no experience required" or "if you suck at coaching, that's OK, apply anyway".

Problem with J Rod is he is too aggressive at the plate and will swing at too many pitches out of the strike zone. It would be good for Julio to hang out and train with Juan Soto in the off season

IIRC, Cal Raleigh's batting average with RISP is .265. To me, that's a much more important stat than the overall BA. His home runs and RBIs are game changers. I wouldn't trade him for anybody. Dude has some real fire in him, and isn't afraid to let people hear it.

Batting .265 with RISP is decent puts him somewhere in the top 50, there are 13 players that are hitting over .300 with RISP.

the one stat I am most impressed with OPS ( on base + slugging ) you get that over 1.000 I am paying attention

Raleigh's value is opportunistic rather than being a constant threat.

What do we legitimately tell our batters to prepare every game? We must just have the biggest idiots coaching them
Servais, Acta, and DeHart. These dudes have zero accolades. Done nothing significant.

.800+ catches my eye. .1000+ is elite.

.700 - .766 is considered average, .800 good and I agree that 1.000 is elite and possibly unattainable for a season but I am hard to impress. There have been some incredible players that have career OPS of over 1.000 including somebody that most people have never heard of is Turkey Stearns who played in the Negro Leagues at 1.034
