Heard this a little bit ago. Smart moves if the Rams do it. They're very unlikely to make playoffs. They're in cap hell (no comment, as I'll get blasted) and they can build up some draft picks to rebuild. Stafford to the Vikes makes sense.

I'm a tad skeptical of these rumors. A) The Rams are finally getting healthy, and B) they are only two games out of first place. Why trade Stafford now?

Also, what could they possibly get for Cooper Kupp? He's on a terrible contract and hasn't been able to stay healthy in 4 years.

Report has them only wanting a second round pick for Cooper

Kupp 2nd round pick
Adams 3rd round pick
Cooper 3rd round pick

For those who think we should trade Metcalf, we won’t get what you think for him,

Not sure why MIN would want to trade for Stafford.

Darnold's been "good enough" and his 2024 cap hit is only $5M. MIN should be able to extend him after this year but it's going to cost them somewhere near the $30M/year range... just a guess.

And good luck getting a 2nd round draft pick for Kupp... unless he really lights things up in the next week or two.

It makes sense. They haven't been a contender since the Super Bowl (someone will say they made the playoffs last year, but that was a fluke and they were never a serious contender). They might as well start rebuilding.

Any one here wants to move from a "career backup" to a "ring wearing former #1 overall pick"?

Stafford to the Vikings makes no sense to me right now. Darn old has them at 5-1. That would ruin that team which has rallied around Darnold. I don’t really see a good trade partner for Stafford. Kipp to the Ravens, Steelers or Chiefs makes sense though

I could see Kupp going to a team for a high draft pick if they feel they’re a wr away from winning it all. It’s a massive gamble but could pay off. The guy is so good.

Can’t see Stafford though.

Man, I just dont see any of this happening. It would literally kill all playoff hopes. If they get healthy at the right time they could go on a tear. And like mentioned above they are only 2 games out of first place with a game coming up against us.

I can see Kupp to the Chiefs in a heart beat.. cept for the CAP, which I"m sure if they wanted, they could figure out some way to over come it.

Those guys are old. DK is only getting better. Not someone that want to trade him but I think you could get a late first or early second for DK.

The Stafford thing makes so little sense that I just can't envision it. What's the purpose/upside here for Minnesota? Is it a play just for this season, but do you really dump Darnold like that? How does the team respond to a move like that?

It makes me doubt the rest of it.

As good as a receiver as Kupp is, with his health concerns and his contract, a third sounds about right if the team is willing to take the full weight of his contract.

I agree with getnasty. DK is 5 years younger than Kupp and doesn't have the injury history. You could get a 1st rounder for him, although I wouldn't trade him.

As NoGain mentioned, a third sounds reasonable for Kupp if the Rams eat most of his salary, anything higher would have to be linked with injury provisions or production-based escalators.

The Steelers REALLY need a #2 receiver to pair with Pickens, the kind of WR who knows how to get open and catch the ball.

OMG I think I know what's going to happen. What's the one thing that's really holding the Stealers back from being a legit team? Answer: QB.

I could see those bastards going all in and trying to trade for Stafford and Cupp. They throw in Fields or Me3 as part of the deal, along with picks. I would think the Rams would rather have Fields, but wouldn't Me3 and his wife just be in heaven in Los Angeles? The Rams get Stafford and Cupp out of the conference too.
