Haha that's pretty funny.

I actually didn't notice Urlacher got injured on that play and didn't come back...

Urlacher is poking fun at himself here - after all of the hits he gave and took over a lengthy career he ultimately ended with a grade 2 hamstring strain self-inflicted when chasing a QB in space. Time catches up with everybody and I like Urlacher's sense of humor about it.

What a terrible article to not even mention Urlacher was laughing as he said it.

Damn Russell should run slower so I can catch him without hurting myself

Yeah, the lack of context in this article just makes it a trolling attempt. It was said as a joke.

I watched him say it.

I said it days after it happened. Russell made him look old and slow. There are few bigger sins in the NFL.

Funny that Urlacher just comes out with it like that.
He is still coming to terms that he is retired. This was a huge step for him. I kind of like him on Fox1 he's learning fast in my opinion.

I think a lot of people on here have watched the clip...so I'd like other people's take on the actual video. But...

I found it interesting that Urlacher says is, with a hint of a smile (not to get into the fact he has zero personality, anyway), but the fact that he repeats it, and you can almost taste the smidge of contempt in his speech pattern, it tells me he's a little bitter that a rookie made him realize he was old and slow...and ended his career. LOL

I don't blame him for coming down with a case of "Who is this rookie to show me I'm done?"

Every great player has that moment of realization eventually, and I'm sure it hurts them all when they realize it.
