No offense, but you need to watch more football then. Basically any Cleveland game is much, much worse than that. (Including today's).

That said, we've got issues.

On offense, the problem remains the same as it has for a season and a half now: Bottom of the league level O-Line play and Grubb's past as an O-Line coach has made no difference. Our offensive game plan is to have Geno throw the ball quickly and try his best to evade pressure that we can't stop from getting home. If and when he's able to do that enough, it softens up the defense for some runs from Walker/Charbs, but we need more. Is Peters going to help us? Is Haynes coming along?

On defense, we have two problems: One, we need Mafe and Murphy (and Nwosu?) to get healthy. Our pass rush has suffered GREATLY with Mafe and Murphy gone.
The other issue, though, is Macdonald doesn't seem to have an adjustment he can (or will) make when our front seven can't generate pressure. Disguised coverages and simulated pressure is great, but if the opposing QB is able to just spam an empty spot behind the pressure, we're going to keep getting torn up by good (and bad) QBs.

This loss felt worse than the Lions one, even though they both probably turned on the exact same play (DK Metcalf fumbling). I honestly think both games are probably still wins if he doesn't cough up the rock.

Fortunately (or unfortunately?), we won't have much time to wait until we see how the Seahawks respond to this and then we'll get a mini-bye prior to facing the Falcons.

The betting line suggested the Seahawks would win 3 times out of 4. Losing is unexpected but it isn't a shock. The Giants winning the offensive yardage battle 400 to 200 early in the 4th quarter IS a shock. Hopefully it's just a bad day.

Also Pete's defenses actually manage to force an incomplete pass from time to time. So far the story line on MM is that he is a relative nobody with a baby face who beat three terrible teams. Defense just looks down right uncreative. I thought we were getting the Mcvay of defense.

People liked to say that, but his defense was kinda shite until he got Roquan.

And now we have a first time OC running the entire unit with no experienced oversight.
