So has Jake Browning now miraculously gained arm strength or is this just talk to get him drafted in the lower rounds? If it's true why the hell didn't the huskies QB coach figure this out over 4 years of college or send him to these places. If he goes on to have a decent NFL career i'll be pretty pissed after he never really showed up in the big bowl games.

From what I know Jake's shoulder injury took a very long time to heal and the fact that they actually had to shave some bone in his shoulder may have affected his mechanics. Before the draft he attended a bio-mechanics training facility for two months. I am not sure that would have been possible while attending UDub. More than one draft specialist reported that he was as good as anybody at the combine. Will he get drafted? Who knows but it is certainly likely that he will not go until the very late rounds.

"I always heard about arm strength stuff over and over and over and over," Browning told The Times recently. "I can't go bench 500 pounds or anything like that to get better at it. I was kind of shooting in the dark. I'd work on my own try to get a strong back and OK maybe this will help, trying to do different stuff. And finally, I went down to California and kind of was given the answers: 'OK, here's how you get more arm strength.' That's an indescribable feeling.

"Everyone tells you you have some issue for four years (but) no one really tells you how to fix it. Then to have a guy tell you how to fix it? It's pretty nice."
