University of Washington athletics on Monday announced the activation of its multi-year deal with apparel giant Adidas, officially ending Nike's 20-year partnership with the school.

"We are very excited to kick off our partnership with adidas, and I think our student-athletes and fans will appreciate the depth of thoughtfulness and commitment they have poured into these launch activations," UW director of athletics Jen Cohen said in a press release. "Leading up to the partnership launch, adidas has shown a huge appetite to listen and learn what makes Washington unique, and I believe that spirit will be reflected throughout all of these activations."

The launch programming will include custom footwear, a fan experience event in Husky Harbor, and a party on campus centered on Husky football's Sept. 28 game against USC in the upcoming season. More information can be found on http://www.adidas.com/uw.

UW's new uniform designs for fall sports will be unveiled on the following dates:

July 10: football

August 6: women's soccer

August 9: volleyball

August 13: men's soccer

August 28: cross country

University of Washington athletics and Adidas came to terms on a partnership in April 2018. The deal is for 10 years and worth nearly $12 million annually, according to The Seattle Times, making the agreement among the top-10 most valuable in college athletics.

The Huskies join Arizona State as the only Pac-12 schools affiliated with Adidas.

Quick Blurb on the article explaining them here: https://gohuskies.com/news/2019/7/1...-introduce-new-huskies-football-uniforms.aspx

The Huskies' new uniforms feature an "Angle of Pursuit" theme that is inspired by the angles of the university's iconic "W" logo. Built to work alongside UW's Husky Bold typeface and influenced by the classic jersey designs from the famed Coach Don James era, adidas designers created an all-new customized numbering system. The corners of each numeral now feature the angles and lines from the school's mark and represent the relentless pursuit towards greatness that all Husky athletes embrace.

My favorite pic below - and link to the full gallery - the video is pretty cool too: https://www.huskiesnewera.com/inspired-by-history-designed-for-the-future

Wished the purple jersey had gold stripes instead of purple on purple on the shoulders and would be better if pants had stripes

Not a big fan of the font of the numbers. I don’t like squared numbers.
The rest of it seems fine.
