Cougs came out flat, were down 14-7 at the half. Fortunately, they've settled down and it's been a 24-3 second half for WSU. They lead 31-17 with less than 4 remaining.

My thoughts
Houston's QB is about as electric as come.
Not the prettiest of games but a win's a win.
WSU has a great group of WR's.
Mike Leach still sucks at time management.

Agreed all around. I’d add that Gordon is the real deal — accurate and intelligent. Looking forward to seeing what kind of numbers he can put up this year.

Gordon's passing clinics are fun to watch, but Cougars will definitely lose a few games if that defense continues to be as porous on the ground as it was last night and doesn't reign in the dumb PIs a bit.

I'll bet that NFL scouts watching Gordon pretty closely right now.

Fun game, didn't think WSU would come back the way they played the first half. I couldn't believe how bad the tackling was for WSU

Wazzu puts the game away early in the 4th if the bozos in the striped shirts don't call the OPI on the 80+ yd TD pass and run by Borghi. Absolutely no interference on the play. Total screw job. Football just continues to get more difficult to watch on all levels because of the ever increasing ineptitude of referees. Oh, and I had no idea he had that kind of speed.

I got excited for WSU/Leach over the past couple of seasons when the offense suddenly became more balanced. Looks like it's back to full air-raid once more.
