Tuszka—6'4", 251 pounds—was one of Saturday night's standouts. He ran a 4.79-second sprint with an excellent 1.69-second 10-yard split and recorded a 33.5-inch vertical jump (one of the best results among linemen) and a fine 120-inch broad jump. His 6.87-second three-cone drill was the best result among this year's defensive linemen. He also added 24 bench press reps on Friday, another very solid result.

Oh, and Tuszka also pilots airplanes.

If his career in football doesn't work out, he can come to Alaska where i can give him some pointers on Bush Flying, and maybe even get some Fling-Wing time. :2thumbs:

NOTE: This post has been deleted 5/22/20, ------- this comes after multiple unprovoked attacks on me by the asshole acer1240. I will never post here again. This site has officially gone to hell & I'll never return.

I believe that the consensus is, 1.6 and under is elite. IMHO, 1.6 - 1.7 isn't bad.

It isnt good compared to successful Edge Rushers in the League.

Clemons, Avril, Clark, Irvin. all were sub 1.6 splits. Its vitally important to pass rushing and the chance that and Edge player not under 1.6 will become Elite is miniscule.

Daniel Jeremiah was saying every players 10 yard split was good for some idiotic reason.

the only Edge Split im even remotely interested (that tested fully) is Zuniga- and thats only because of the idea of getting him in the 3rd-4th.

In the NFL draft, it's not wise to deal in absolutes. Unless you're drinking Absolut :) But you have to take multiple scenarios in to account. No one stat is the end all, be all. However, 10 yard split is a fairly good indicator.

Problem is, for whatever reason, that stat is not available for a lot of players. For that reason, it's impossible to make the 10 yard split a hard and fast rule.
