Gonna be fun time, huh Wen?
I'm all in with you for topper, but have other hope below that one. Doesn't seem to matter how many ways I list it our guys always find a different way to go :) They do make it fun though. Can hardly wait.

I don't think I'll be able to handle it if they pick a RB first.

Russ wants "Stars"

Rookie WR with no or minimized camp will be hard to get value in year 1

Not a lot of targets for a rookie TE with Olsen, Dissley, and Holister

OL - Rookie OL without camp would be a disaster (any OL feels like it's with 2021 in mind)

RB -RB's are plug and play, yes you can get quality in later rounds but with Taylor or Swift it should be a home run. Plus Carson and Penny coudl both not return to form. Do you really want to gamble your season on Homer or a mid-late round RB? I will be upset if we don't get one by the end of the 2nd round.
-Taylor
-Swift
-Dobbins
-Akers
-Edwards-Helaire
-Moss

I can see all these players gone by our 3rd rd pick

I'd be absolutely ecstatic with either Taylor or Edwards-Helaire. Especially if they traded down first. I think either one could be a big time difference maker for us. Not sure I can say that about anyone else who's likely to be available in the late first-early second.

Lot of talk all of a sudden about trades very high in the order and a potential early run on tackles. With all the QB talk and FA moves that seems a tad unlikely to me. But when you look at our needs it doesn't see all that far fetched. This draft is gonna be really interesting from the getgo.

I finally tried one of the mock draft simulators for the first time. Wasted a lot time trying to trade around. I basically narrowed my draft board to 30 players and tried to position myself to get as many players on my 30 man board as possible.

47 Josh Uche OLB

59 Bradlee Anae DE

75 Brandon Aiyuk WR

96 Rashard Lawrence DT

101 Zack Moss RB

102 Jarvis Davis NCB

122 Davon Hamilton DT

133 K’Von Wallace SS

137 Robert Hunt G

144 Antonio Gibson WR/RB

170 L’Jarius Sneed FS

214 Josh Metellus SS

246 Bravvion Roy DT

The 30 player board I used:
DT – Rashard Lawrence, Davion Hamilton, Leki Fotu, Ross Blacklock
EDGE – Bradlee Anai, Julian Okwara, Terrell Lewis,
LB – Josh Uche, Zach Baun, Davion Taylor,
CB – Michael Ojemuda, Kindle Valdor, Bryce Hall
NCB – Jarvis Davis,
SS – K'Von Wallace, Josh Metellus,
FS – L'Jarius Sneed,
OT – Austin Jackson, Ezra Cleveland, Matt Peart, Hakeem Adeniji,
G – Robert Hunt, Damien Lewis, Kevin Dotson
RB – Jonathan Taylor, Anotonio Gibson, Zack Moss, AJ Dillon
WR – Brandon Aiyuk, Van Jefferson

Like many other mocks, I have them trading with Indy for a 2nd & 4th round pick.

2/34
Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

2/59
Bradley Anae, EDGE, Utah

2/64
Willie Gaye Jr., LB, Mississippi St. (I know it's spelled wrong)

3/101
Lucas Niang, OT, TCU

4/122
DaVon Hamilton, DT, Ohio St.

4/133
Devin Duverney, WR, Texas

4/144
Isaiah Hodgins, WR, Oregon St.

6/214
Josh Metellus, S/CB, Michigan St.

This is a draft I would feel great about.

So! Day One is in and the first round pick for Seattle is Jordyn Brooks. Now I know none of us had him coming in there, but it is what it is now.

I updated my mock draft for fun, and using PFN Mock simulator (again, fun to tinker with and auto put in the actual first round picks) I created a newer version of my mock.

Pick 27 - Jordyn Brooks, OLB, Texas Tech
Pick 64 - Lucas Niang, OT, TCU
Pick 67 - Bradlee Anae, DE, Utah
Pick 101 - Leki Fotu, DT, Utah
Pick 133 - Anthony McFarland, RB, Maryland
Pick 144 - Kevin Dotson, G, Louisiana
Pick 149 - John Hightower, WR, Boise State
Pick 214 - Steve Montez, QB, Colorado
Pick 235 - Charlie Taumoepeau, TE, Portland State

TRADE: Pick 59 for Picks 67, 149, and 235
