Any late round / udfa QB worth a chance?

With only Etling and "Puncher" McGough in the house is there anyone worth investing in as the clipboard holder?

I'm interested to see where (and when) Trask and Franks get taken.

Both guys regarded favorably for development, we just need to see if Pete thinks they are active favorable, one of the factors is how much they understand defenses to help film room and diagnose what a defense is doing on game day. I would say Smith didn't have much input the last half of last season or was not helpful or ignored. Tjack in film room was what Wilson applauded him for.

Ian Book from ND as an udfa..
Games just like Russ..Except his arm isn't as strong
same height and speed but body wise he could use
some weight..I don't want another short QB but some
like the sandlot-off script stuff.

At that juncture in the draft, you're picking up guys who have a trait or two that are unteachable, but haven't put it all together yet.

Give me Donald Hammond, QB out of Air Force.

The problem is right there... Air Force. Rarely passed. But when he did, he had the velocity, the timing, the footwork, and the accuracy. The stats are fairly pedestrian, but you can see that he's got the raw ability.

Should be able to get him UDFA and stash him for a bit, but I think the world of him as a developmental prospect. Just work with him a while, see if he can be that QB2.
