  • I'm 34. I've been a Hawks fan since I can remember. The team has been woven into the fabric of life since I was born. My Dad's brother Dale Dorning played DE briefly for the Hawks in 1987, initially coming in as a replacement player during the strike and staying on as a special teams player through that season before retiring with an injury settlement. He's now a high school football and wrestling coach in Portland. My grandpa had season tickets for a goodly period of time during the early 90's I remember catching a few games with him.

Fast forward to current day, my fiance and I have the season tickets that her Dad (RIP) had had since '76 and we will never let them go. Hopefully something we will be able to pass down through our family for generations.

  • 45. Hawks fan since I was a pup. Grew up in the SF Bay Area, but always loved underdogs. Hated the 9ers because they were always winning.

Fast forward: I had season tickets for the last season in the Kingdome, got to watch it's implosion, and my only wish is to see the Hawks wear their 80s/90s retro unis in a game.

I remember when the Niners were the Underdogs before 81 and they SUCKED. At that point there were always the same 4 games. Seahawks, Niners, Raiders and whenever the Steelers were playing but you could only see two. and one on Monday night.

I remember the family cheering for the Niners to beat the Cowboys in 81 and the Bengals. They were from PA and long time Steeler fans though. It was short lived for them and I always thought their unis were horrifying.

Anyone married to a woman over 45 needs about 20X as much TP as a single guy. :sarcasm_off:
I'm a tad over 6' and down to about 180. Lost a bunch of weight leading up to my one and only lifetime admission to a hospital about 2 yrs ago. I was in there less than 4 days but at least I'm still alive to be paying for it! And still riding horses!

    DUDE! SO TRUE.

I lived with TWO guys in a house and we could go a while on a flipping 4-pack. I moved in with my wife of 25 years and she was always asking me to pick up toilet paper. Now? HAHAHAHAHHAHAH Wife and Daughter have their own bathroom for such nonsense with a semi-automatic toilet paper dispenser and a 50 roll magazine. My son and I have one backup roll on hand for potential unforeseen ugliness.

My dad has been a Rams fan since the 60s and I picked it up in the 90s as a kid. Couldn't watch too many games here in Ohio though until the 1999 season.

I am SoCal native with family that migrated from PA in the 60s and brought their Steelers' loyalties with them. However.. I have an uncle that was 100 percent Rams fan, living in West Covina meant going to the 79 Super Bowl was a nothing but a short drive. The entire family went and there was my uncle with his Rams gear surrounded by Steelers fans. As bummed as he was, he ended up walking out of the Rose Bowl with Fred Dryer's helmet from that game and has it to this day. I used to always pull for the Rams during the Niners' Mobster days, when they bailed for STL all that ended.

  • 56. The first football game I can remember starred Larry Csonka and Garo Yepremian. Grew up rooting for the Raiders with Atkinson, Biletnikoff and the Snake. Fast Forward, Got a way from Football for a bit, decided to pick a new team to follow at the end of the 2004 season. I actually made a short list; Falcons, Jets and Seahawks. 1st game of 2005 I decided on the Seahawks because the Jets screwed up so badly. Been on the ride ever since.

Lol my wife just told me tonight that before we got pregnant with our daughter (she's 2), she was scared that she would be due during football season and that I would be watching the Rams on my phone while she was in labor.

Well, there's at least three members of the forum in Miami, because Roland is living there now, too. :D

Anyway, I'm 60, and have been a Seahawks fan since I discovered American football in 1985. Visited Seattle (stayed with friends near Poulsbo) in 1996. Never yet been back; hope to one day!

  • Just turned 40.

I was 5ish when the Bears won the super bowl and everything about the fanbase around me in central Illinois pretty much disgusted me.

Since my early life revolved around sports, by the time i was 10 i knew i needed an NFL team of my own. I turned on a late afternoon CBS game and the Seahawks in the Kingdom made the decision for me. Only a month or two later i won a grocery store raffle that was giving away those pullover jackets that were cool back then for any team of your choice, so it was cosmic timing.

The success of the last decade more than made up for being the only Seahawks fan in small town Illinois when we were miserable.

  • I was in 5th grade when we got a team, then in 6th when Knox took over, then in 7th grade when we won our first Super Bowl.

Just kidding... As a Seattle sports fan I had to root for the Raiders until we got our own team when I was 20.

One of my friends was a Rams fan when we were kids. Dunno what kind of fan he is now as he lives in Camas Wa. Brother was a Miami Fan...was wearing a seattle shirt last time I saw him. Younger brother was an unknown but is a Seattle fan somewhat. Had season tix for 10 years. I think I took him to his first game in 2006 after I retired from the Air Force/Air guard.

The Kingdome had a program called the Kingbowl. Bands went to the stadium and plyed their plan for a halftime activity like a college halftime show. Ours was ugly. We saw a group playing send in the clowns and they were about 20 seconds too long on the field. I hope they won tho. Winner got to play on Sundays halftime. We went home Saturday afternoon to Othello. Another Seahawk fan was at the same competition from Spokane. We retired the same time. Same location.
