Deandre Baker charges dropped

He's the guy who was arrested with Dunbar for armed robbery. The charges against him got dropped today and they actually arrested the lawyer who was accusing them for fraud. He was an All-American college CB and the Giants picked him up at #30 last year with a pick they got from us. He wasn't great last year but he's young. Go get him. He already knows Dunbar and things cannot get any worse. This is our chance to get a first round pick for cheap. Go get him.

Stands 5'11", but 32 inch arms make him rangier than his height would indicate.

...gotta kick the tires, I'd say.

Completely agreed!!! We need more help at CB, Ugo has been our best CB aside from SG and he’s a nickel, we need a better CB depth imo.

Agree we should bring him in and see what he can do.

The problem is...he's just another new player to this defense. He does not know the scheme and does now where he should be when he's supposed to be there. This defense has talent. The coaching staff has been trying to tell people that. Jamal Adams said that during his post-game presser.

Guys are simply not paying attention and playing to the scheme. Sure...there are some maddening play calls. Why continuously play 10-yards off the ball on a 2nd and five, or a 3rd and six? You could see Robert Woods laughing during the game with how easy those quick tosses were. Most of the time, however, players are taking poor angles and find themselves in poor spots. Even Wagner looks lost sometimes.

Plus I am not sure he and Dunbar are on friendly terms anymore since they seemingly threw each other under the bus during the legal proceedings.

Baker might be able to play some this year, so smart for any playoff team to grab him.

But make no mistake, doesn't matter if the charges were dropped, Goodell's gonna ban his ass for most of next year, if not the entire season. Dunbar's probably going to get a 4-6 game suspension.

Why? Even the prosecutor is saying that Dunlap and Baker were victims of extortion.

Goodell would have to go way out there to even make an argument for the moral clause. Earl Thomas was caught by his wife sexing a woman with his brother (ick) and there wasn't a peep about Goodell pulling him; it's just that he now can't get hired by anyone because no one gets along with him and don't think it's worth it. AB destroyed an HOA camera before leaving to live with Tom Brady and Goodell's not doing anything about it either. He really hasn't had a history of doing anything when there's no legal, unless there's raw tape of someone knocking a woman unconscious or god forbid if they smoked pot at the wrong time.

Reed wasn't even charged with anything and got six games.

The legality of these situations have no bearing on what the league does, if Goodell feels like the badge was tarnished, he will suspend players........and I can't imagine him not thinking two guys getting caught up in an armed robbery gambling party during covid and subsequent cover up aren't worthy of suspensions. Even if the charges were dropped.

Gee I would expect an NFL coach to be able to solve that problem easily!

Reed was a domestic-violence allegation. Goodell has known since Ray Rice that dv is a particularly sore point with the nfl, and maybe that's why he did that.
