Mobile QB.

More potential than Wentz.

I don’t care what anyone says Wentz is now shell of his former self.

Hurts has a better arm and is stronger than Wentz.

I would use Hurts on design runs and options on Seattle.

Guarantee Hurts does better than Wentz.

Don't we just suck against backup QB's, period? But... this one's on MNF, and we got Primetime Wilson.

Primetime Wilson didn't help us much against Arizona. But this isn't Kyler Murray, either. We should take this game.

And then next week we get to play Colt McCoy since Daniel Jones blew up his hamstring 8)

Today was a good day for us.

Sure, he did! Couple TD's, no TO's a couple Thursdays ago. We won, didn't we?

First game against the Cards? Prime-time, wasn't it? And no, we lost.

I don't think it really matters who starts, I still have a feeling they'll give the Hawks a good battle.
But, losing to a backup happens, not just to the Hawks. Ask the mighty Rams about that...….just lost to backup yesterday. I think the Hawks will be plenty prepared and fired up for tonight, they almost always are in Prime Time.
That being said, certainly not assuming an easy win at all. Still gotta' lace em up.
Shoot, I doubt the Raiders expected to get smoked by an average at best Falcons team.
To be honest, I hope Wentz plays the entire game, the Hawks have owned him big time...…..

We have this habit of making back ups look like HOF guys, for no other reason then we don't seem to prepare for them correctly, that or we don't make adjustments and tend to play safe bend but don't break defense and not pressure them to make mistakes.

Backups introduce a lot of uncertainty in a game, especially when they come in off the bench.

They often have a really good first or second game because it's different than what teams were expecting, planning, and practicing for.

But they also sometimes completely are out of their element and crap the bed.

The tendency of the result to be less predictable is much higher. I think fans oversell the "play like HOFer against us" angle. I hear people saying that when a dude comes in the first quarter and can't even muster 200 yards. Any ability to play football is somehow "HOF".

But you really shouldn't be surprised when some dude who you haven't prepared for, or you have nothing to study on, comes out and lights it up for awhile.

Hurts brings some wildcat/RO flavor to the Eagle's offense, so we'll probably see him in short yardage and red zone situations.

But probably not more than that. He's wildly inaccurate, and has a very poor grasp of the offense and complexities of NFL defenses. Thus why Wentz has had the worst year of his career, the Eagles are floundering and Hurts still isn't the starter. No way Peterson trusts him to take over the offense.
