A commenter on Turf Show Times pointed out this little factoid:

Every division clinching win under Pete Carroll has been at home vs the Rams.

2010: Seahawks 16 Rams 6 (W17)
2013: Seahawks 27 Rams 9 (W17)
2014: Seahawks 20 Rams 6 (W17)
2016: Seahawks 24 Rams 3 (W15)
2020 Seahawks 20 Rams 9(W16)

Nice. And held them under 10 in every game!

According to that chart we should do it again next year.

Wow...it is almost like the league schedules divisional games near the end of the season to create these types of deciding games.

There were some hawk fans spouting nonsense last week that Pete always loses games where he has the chance to clinch.

Nice to see data that refutes that

Wait, I thought the Hawks "never" win clinching games? And they "can't beat the Rams?"
Incorrect......

And kept them out of our end zone each time.

We are talking about the RAMS. Not the Niners.
The Rams that the Hawks just beat for the Title. After many acted like the Hawks would get smoked.

Does that mean I can't mention another team in the thread? We could've won the NFC West last year, against the NINERS, if not for a delay of game penalty.

I hear ya, that was a frustrating one for sure. But, an obvious non-call on PI would have put them right back at the 1 yard line.
That was blatant. And likely did cost them the division last year.

Not just the league. TV schedulers foster rivalry games, prospective division deciding matchups, and conference standing deciders in order to maximize viewer share and profits. And profits is the name of the game.

Sorry, but this data sheet does not refute that in any way. How can you possibly tell which of those seasons we may have been able to clinch the week BEFORE the Rams game we DID clinch it in? For example, in 2010 we lost the THREE games before that Rams clinching game. In 2013, we lost to the Cardinals the week before. 2014, we won the five games before the Rams clinching game so definitely not a possibility for that season, lol. 2016, we lost to the Packers the week before the Rams game. This year, obviously we've won the two before the Rams game. Your claim is clearly faulty.

@Maulbert: Dope stat, lol. Pretty amusing.

NFC West Champs

Really all that matters. Especially since they somehow can't beat the Rams.
(relax, it's a joke)
