Not what I wanted to hear, one they are now handicapped, two we will hear excuses for our win, I would rather the Rams take out others with their defense in the playoffs.

Rivalry aside, that was an incredibly gutsy performance by Goff.
Watching him pop his thumb back into place was eye opening. He's a tough young man and he gave it his all out there.
Not good news.

Yup, gotta give him mad props for doing that & finishing the game.

Nobody can question his toughness after that. Okay, some still will.

He definitely gutted it out. I am still glad that he is as dumb as a pile of rocks.

It was gutsy and it was tough. With that said the real issue of this is next week and playoff. As tough as one is to fix that mid-game it is different to have adrenalin go away and swelling to happen and then go out there and play.

I wouldn't be surprised if he does not start week 17 and almost surprised if he starts the playoff.

Yes it could have ramifications going forward for the Rams. If they lose next week they could potentially miss the playoffs. They will need him, regardless of how bad he can be he is still better then their backup

Was just going to post that this could be a big development based on severity of the break. If Cards win and Bears win... Rams out if I heard correctly. Time to keep an eye on it.

How were they doing before he broke his thumb?

Yeah, about the same as after he broke his thumb.

Our D shut their O down, period.

Oh, I don’t think anyone is doubting that... suddenly, if it’s that severe, playing them in the first round with a backup QB could be beneficial

this. I hate them and would never want to play them. It looks like we lock up with them in many scenarios. Might not be so bad now.

Wolford is their backup. Never taken a snap in a real game.
