I feel bad for him, because it seems like the Seahawks just used him and then dumped him. But this really wasn't the case. In the long time it took to get him in game-shape and up to speed, it just so happened to be that all the players started getting healthy and that pushed him down the line on the depth chart.

All the best to him, and it's nice to see that he is being a good sport about it.

Although I feel bad for him being deemed inactive, I think he was borderline Dwayne Haskins immature in handling it the way he did.

He could have handled this via private conversation or merely observing.

I'm still trying to figure out what he has done this year that validates his indignation.

I understand wanting to play, but why did he feel snubbed?

I'm saying that Snacks had alternative ways of dealing with this. Like, for example, conveying to coaches privately that if he wasn't put in for Week 17, that'd indicate there would be a reason for him to go.

He's not wrong in that it was wrong on a risk-management profile to just inactivate a proven player who can actually play the D while keeping in any number of "special-teams aces" who cannot. But it would be especially ridiculous for them to do that when really our Week 17 has nowhere near the consequences of Week 16, but players can still get hurt, be put on covid list and so forth.

He spoke too soon. He embarrassed the franchise, and there are fewer franchises now than before to pick from.

This is still a Haskins-like move by him though.

If he had just shut up chances are very good that he would have had more game tape for Week 17, Week 18 and probably a week 19 at best for game tape.

He gets released and now he CAN'T play for another team with a week's notice due to covid protocols and all teams will see is some guy who prima donnaed his way out of a player's team coach.
