I was BS'ing with a friend today about this very thing. Still slim chances that it falls our way, but not as slim as a few days ago...can't help but hope. :)

Kamara out for the Saints is a pretty huge hit for them. He had 6 touchdowns last weakened. Will be interesting to see how that effects their game against the Panthers.

Also improves the chances that one or both get bounced in their first playoff game. So even if we get the #3 seed, the possibility of playing all our playoff games at home just went up a little bit (still not a great chance).

Way I see it is that Packers, Saints and us are all going into W17 trap games.

But Packers/Saints are legitimately down whereas that's true for the 49ers but not us.

The 9ers have ruled out these players for Sunday.

CB Richard Sherman (calf)
WR Brandon Aiyuk (ankle)
DT Kevin Givens (not injury related)
DT Javon Kinlaw (knee)
WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring)
CB K’Waun Williams (shin)
LB Dre Greenlaw (calf)

Let's just take care of our business on Sunday.

Anyone still think we should rest our starters, and essentially concede any chance at one of the top 2 seeds?

Avoiding at Green Bay for as long possible is a good thing. We need to fight for top 2.

Imagine if we lost Duane Brown days before a huge division game. I would feel pretty sick about having to send in a backup to stop Chicago's D line. They are win and their in and have a lot more to play for than GB. We will see but I this there is a real shot GB slips up and Rodgers looks very frustrated without a clean pocket.

If GB losses and we can snag the #2 seed that would mean we face CHI or AZ. I cant put any faith in Chicago but if AZ beats LA then Chigo and GB would be battling back to back weeks.

Kamala wins the VP, scores 6 TD's in a game and now has Covid. Crazy times!

I'm overly excited about tomorrow. How we handle the Niners will be somewhat indicative of what to expect in the playoffs, and I'll be CONSTANTLY checking the GB and NO games to see how they are progressing.

COME ON #1 SEED, COME TO PAPA!
