1984 - Won Wild Card (Raiders), Lost Divisional (Dolphins)
2014 - Lost Super Bowl
2020 - ???

Only finishes better than 12-4 were the 13-3 years (2005, 2013) which resulted in 2 Super Bowls with 1 win.

3 of 4 prior finishes of 12-4 or better have seen the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.

Top 5 season in the history of the franchise, yet there are still many people here that aren't satisfied.

Enjoy it! Once PC is gone it'll be a long time before we have a team that is consistently in the running for the Bowl.

Great post, lots of people here need some perspective.

Cleveland just made the playoffs for the first time in 18 years. Buffalo won the division for the first time in 25 years......

Could have easily been 14-2 and the #1 seed if the first game against AZ went differently, and if they hadn't laid an egg against the Giants. Just sayin'.

Patriots, Cam scores instead of getting stuffed, and Vikings get a first down on 4th and 1 to ice the game, and it seems like there were like 2 or 3 other games that turned on a single big play this year. At least 4 games could have gone the other way, and we wind up 8-8. Just sayin'.

Easily???

Dude we’re amazingly, unbelievably lucky to not be more like 10-6.

What was it, a goal line stand against a human freight train cam newton on the 2?

The Cowboys game had some real flukey stuff go our way.

Then there was Russ finding DK on the end zone on what felt like a buzzer beater in basketball vs Minny.

Also down 13-0 at the half of that one and Cook got injured the most opportune time possible for us to get back in it.

12-4 is something to be celebrated, PERIOD. The arguments "yeah but this or that could have happened" is a fool's game. If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.

12-4, NFC West Champions, HELL YEAH LET'S GO!!!

People pissed off after a 12-4 season, blasting the QB and Coach as much as they can. 9th playoff in 11 years. Division Champs.

Meanwhile, the Jags are picking in the top 10 for the 19th time in 27 seasons. And it took the Browns 18 years to finally make the playoffs again. And 25 f'in years for the Bills to win their division again.

cough cough spoiled cough cough
but but but.....they lost to the Giants. Someone grab a pacifier.

I'm not going to whine about 12-4.

That said, that Giant game was a disaster.

I'll be mad if they don't at least make the CCG.

The league is full of teams who lose to an inferior opponent at least once or twice a year. This isn't just some Seahawk thing.
And I know it's taboo around here, but it IS ok to give the opponent credit for playing well.

12-4 is great and I’d take it every year. ...but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement.

They clunkered away the Giants and first AZ games,. Players, coaches, and play calling were subpar in key moments in those games. This is the NFL, any team can beat you if you lose focus, or overlook a lesser opponent. Those games are the difference in getting HFA in the playoffs and not. Hawks are 3-0 in NFCCG’s in Seattle, thats why HFA in so important .

Yep, 12-4 and can actually play a lot better. Scary for the opponents. All I ever seem to hear is about how scary OTHER teams are. Well, this Hawks team is also pretty damn scary when they are Rollin.
