We didn’t lose to Jets at home...we lost to the #1 defense in the NFL, with no home field advantage. We didn’t play our best and they didn’t beat us with their offense. A couple plays put us behind and a short field TD put us away.
These last few years it had been hard being a Seahawks fan. Interesting thing to say given our successes. But we bow out in similar ways every year and it is mind boggling. It is even creeping into our regular season. Does every game need to go to the last possession?
Anyway...not a lot of roster manipulation is required. Tweak some coach prep and play calling and we’ll be fine.

Hollywood Russ lost to a four fingered QB, there is definitely some shame.

Exactly, Russ nearly threw 3 picks instead of just one while Goff just managed the game and let Akers destroy us on the ground. they literally had no answer for Aaron Donald today.

We lost to a team w an injured ineffective qb, missing their best defensive player for a half....at home.

Plenty of shame losing this one. But Pete deserved it.

No shame in losing today? Bro. This isn't Pop Warner. We don't have growing children that need the mental reinforcement that it's ok to lose. These are grown-ass adults getting paid anywhere from very good to outrageously awesome money.

There is ABSOLUTELY shame in losing in the NFL. How do you feel if you make a stupid mistake at your job that you know you shouldn't have made? I'd hope you feel a little shame.

What an absurd idea the OP has.

They definitely didn’t play their best game. 2 costly turnovers by the Seahawks resulted in 14 points for the Rams. The pick 6 by Russ and DJ Reed punt return fumble. Seahawks had opportunities but couldn’t muster a takeaway from the Rams.

Everyone can be salty if they want to, but we got taken behind the woodshed today. It wasn’t a fluke. It wasn’t a team that played waaaay above their head. They made us look bad and were completely dominant on the defensive side of the ball. Defense wins championships and the Rams are the class of the league this year. If they had an average QB they would run roughshod over the league.

Their defense is the class of the league, absolutely. However, we didn't even TRY to run offensive plays that are designed to beat un-blockable pressure for almost the entire game. It gets so damned frustrating. Someone needs to stamp this on Pete's forehead:

Also at home...agreed no fans at home, but Hawks did not need to travel and get to play on a field and in weather they play 8-10 times a year on..so there is still an advantage there.

The OP is partly correct. There's no shame in losing to a better team, and the Rams were clearly the better team today. But there is shame when your team comes out with no intensity, no passion, no heart, no will to win..... in a damn playoff game! With a few exceptions, the Hawks players looked like they were just going through the motions. That's the most frustrating and embarrassing thing for me about todays game.

The Rams completely dominated the LOS on both sides of the ball. I know the Rams DL can be dominant at times, but this was the worst performance of the year from our OL. And we had all our starters today. And defensively, we never came close to slowing down the Rams running game, even when we knew going in that they were going to lean on that because of their QB situation. Everyone knew it!

Russ, the offensive and defensive lines, the coaching staff...... it was just a very poor effort from the Hawks in all phases of the game, and there's enough blame to go around. But bottom line, the Rams came out and took the game to us from the get go. They were passionate, they were intense, they played every play like it was their last. We never came close to matching their intensity, and as a result, we got run over on both sides of the ball.

So yes, in this instance, there is absolutely shame in losing. It was a pathetic effort by everyone involved on the Hawks side of the ball and I'm embarrassed for them.

There is no shame in losing if you go down fighting, we were not fighting and playing from the start, I could see it on the first Punt, gunners were getting manhandled and not hand fighting and getting pushed around, then later Randall running 5 yards out of bounds to avoid contact, lousy tackling, dumb penalties, poor execution the list goes on.

It was shameful in how they played and how the coaches prepped them against a division rival in a playoff game.

We scored just one TD, and that was on a broken play. There's lots of shame for our massive under-performance -- on both sides of the ball.
