Not going to happen. But Payton would be a better fit than “Pete Ball” for Russ.

The Saints can’t offer us anything for Wilson. Only trades that make sense would be Wilson for Watson and a 1 or 2 rounder. Or Wilson to Jacksonville for the 1 and another pick.

Gonna be pretty tough to fit Wilson under the cap, since they're currently 95 million over with only 45 players under contract.

Your second idea isn’t enough. The first option would be more do able for Seattle but maybe not Houston.

Kamara wouldn't be a bad fit, throw in a O lineman and a pick and I would think about it.

The same amount as Pete. Brees and Russ are two different types of QB’s, but then again, you knew that.

I could be way off base here but I think the Saints have a guy already on the roster ready to take the spot.
Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston?

I personally don’t believe Hill or Winston is their future.

If the Saints were to offer Seattle 3 first rounders for Wilson, Carroll should consider it.

Carroll doesn’t know how to play with a 35M QB anywaysz

Might as well go cheap on a QB and stack the defense and run game for Pete Ball anyways.

The point is you'll bag on Pete but praise Payton yet they have the same amount of title's, and Payton has been with a better QB for a longer time. If Russ and Brees are different Quarterbacks what makes you think Russ would do well with Payton.

That's what leads to 7-9 records.

Wilson is worth 4-5 wins a season alone. Find a trade that gets you those 4-5 wins and I'm fine with it. But there are are not that many deals that would produce that. You'd need about 5-6 first round picks to have a stab at finding a first round QB that wouldn't flame out. You'd need at least 5-6 pro bowl calibre defenders to get you 4-5 wins. Whose got that to trade?

There is a reason that guys like Wilson earn 35 million a year.

Think about the average QBs who have made the Bowl the last few years

Jimmy G
Goff
Wentz/Foles
Netwon
Flacco
Alex Smith/Kapernick

It doesn't take an elite QB to get there.

How Many Super Bowls have been won by these guys, 2 ? The Eagles and Ravens.

Wilson has already done that, most these teams went tank after it however, the Seahawks have not and are still contenders. Goff is only one that has a team that can challenge, where's Flacco, Kaep, Newton, Jimmy G at as far as team and ability to push for another at the moment?

I'd love to ship Russ to NO for draft capital or maybe Kamara/Hendrickson/someone on the O-Line. Then go sign Kaep. Can't be worse than Russ was for 12 weeks.
