What the hell? This guy is huge and worked his butt off! Why didn't Seattle at least see what they had?

This has been in the works for a while now. Sullivan is the first ex-Seahawk to join Carolina this offseason and may not be the last given the Scott Fitterer connection. Not clear why Seattle didn't sign Sullivan to a futures contract.

The #Panthers have signed TE Stephen Sullivan, a seventh-round pick of the Seahawks last year, to a reserve/future contract.

I can only assume that he wasn't progressing as well as hoped at either spot if they let him get away - but he did impress me on defense after switching there on a moments notice.

I'm just glad that he's keeping his NFL dream alive.

Could have been the injury and surgery recovery lead Seattle to believe they had time wait until the offseason. Hopefully they will be more aggressive.

Surprise to me. I thought he was a bright spot on our depth chart with potential to move up.

Or maybe he wanted a chance to play WR and or TE not DE.
