Putting a bow on a stellar 11-year career, former Seahawks left guard Mike Iupati has officially announced his retirement from the NFL.

Well, that answers that question.

He should have retired before last season.

He'd become a true shadow of his former self and was no longer an asset on the OLine. As well he was hurt all the time.

That said, he showed up and played even when he was hurt, which was admirable. Sure wish we’d seen SF level play from him when he was here.

He had nothing but good things to say about the Seahawk organization.

Great player out of Idaho University of that played a lot in San Francisco. Nothing but great things to be said about his career.

Oh, yeah. He totally retired because he was mad at Russ. Not because he's an oft-injured 11 year veteran with kids.

All quack comments aside, Iupati's retirement attaches an extra premium to what we do in the FA market this year.

Nah we just plug in one of the 10 versatile lineman that can play every position there.

I’m sure he knew he wasn’t going to be starting if he returned anyway.

jack of all trades , master of none players are awesome in high school sports

He was pretty good for us, but the guy could not play a whole game. It seemed like he left every game for some period of time with an injury.
