The most realistic situation...

Is that Russ stays and leaves in a year. They won't trade him this year because of all the dead money they would eat. If nothing changes next year he's gone. So really this upcoming season will decide everything. If we come guns blazing and build around Russ, he loves Seattle and will want to stay. If not, he's gone at the end of the year. That's the most realistic situation. At least 1 more year of Russ

The language he uses is very telling about whether or not he's asked for a trade. He replied "that is up to the franchise". He has the no trade clause in his contract, Seattle could work out a deal with a team tomorrow and shake on it. That is unless Wilson agrees/signs off on it there is no deal, then it doesn't matter what the franchise wants.

"That is up to the franchise" to me is saying that he's going to force his way out if Seattle doesn't change some things soon. As I said, it is not up to the franchise -- Wilson controls his own destiny with the wording of the contract.
