Could be a great back up to Wilson and can teach Wilson how to dink and dunk. Plus, Carroll likes that type of conservative offense cuz you know, Carroll is a conservative Head Coach.

He is a Starter, so around 15 million to be a back up here?

Could be the bridge qb here if Wilson goes this off season. Can he scramble for his life?

I like Alex Smith, but he wouldn't be a fit in Seattle even if we moved on from Russell. The dude has a noodle arm. He'd be a good fit for a team with a young QB, like the Jags.

I agree, not a fit in Seattle.

That said, Alex was probably the best story in the NFL last year. To come back and play football at the highest level when it looked like he may lose his leg just a couple years ago was a very inspiring story, and I wish him nothing but success wherever he lands.

I don't see how Smith isn't a $20 million+ cap hit wherever he's going.

He is old and had a near fatal injury. The league views him as a highend backup at this juncture.

He would have to take way less money to play for a contender and be the backup.

Or he could take much better money and be the mentor and backup for a young QB.

Sounded like a nice fit in post Wilson Hawks.

Great QB but he needs to retire before he gets seriously injured! I wouldn’t field him if he gets hurt the guilt will haunt for life.

He doesn't have full mobility

I am not talking about " doesn't run like a mobile guy" but literally issues moving around dragging one for a bit.

He did great, he is a good backup, he is probably a good starter for a team with a stellar O-line
