  • If the market keeps going south, Josh Reynolds could be an amazing option. Otherwise, Chris Conley fits the bill. Swain could get the call-up to the starting offense. UDFA's and draft picks are a possibility.

  • WR isn't a big need given the depth we have in the PS, we are not looking for a starter.

We also only have 3 picks and bigger holes to fill.

I agree 100%. Josh Reynolds is a very good, versatile WR. I like that he can create some space in the short and medium game concepts and/or can spread the defense. If the $$ is right, this would be an absolute no brainer.

Freddy Swain is another potential option for a #3 WR. For a rookie, he definitely displayed surprising talent and maturity. I am eager to see what he brings to the table this season.

  • I would love to see Ursua step up and be that #3/#4 receiver. I loved watching him in college (plus, he went to my high school).

Swain is a strong possibility for the #3, as well. He made some big catches last year and made some swing passes and crossing routes look pretty routine. I was impressed with him, as a rookie he looked pretty collected and calm. I didn't notice much of his blocking, so I can't speak to that.

I don't love the idea of spending a ton of $ on a FA wideout, we have a pretty bad track record in that regard. Unless it's a minimum type of deal, I say we go with those we have or look at more players that are possible cuts down the line.

  • The Carolina Panthers added a rather humble well rounded and hard working 4 year veteran in David Moore. I'd be very surprised if someone similar could be found to immediately to replace all that he brought to the team. It's more likely that some combination of a #3 & a #4 will step in for 2021.

Given that it's a new offense being put together, I'm anticipating that John & Company will cast a wide net in 2021. I expect a wide open competition. Should feed some active forum dialogue going into training camp.

I mean Russ did go from Ashton Face-Meme to Ciara, creating an entertainment power couple in the process. Maybe no love loss but Tate would be intriguing with Metcalf and Lockett.

Josh Reynolds imo is the best option with his familiarity with much of the offense Waldron is trying to implement.

Dede is my favorite, but no clue what he's getting. I really want a slot that can get open quickly so we can move Lockett back outside. Besides Dede, got my eyes on Snead, Reynolds and Humphries.

  • Sammy Watkins if he now recognizes what he is and the market makes him affordable .. I think people are down on him but thats because of expectations . If you just see him as a 2nd/3rd tier guy with useful skills.. Id go there.

Josh Reynolds like others said makes sense obviously.

Adam Humphries might be the MoneyBall candidate. Capable and puts up solid numbers..but isnt sexy or flashy so just gets no attention. I think he should get consideration. A good "security blanket", "move the chains" type.

and my outlier.. Damien Byrd. NE moved on from him and that could be bad..but if NE has an evaluation weakness its at WR. He might be better as a WR4.. a blazer to come in situationally.. but again, to me.. worth a look. Seems to match Wilsons strengths.

  • AB only makes sense if Russ and him have a serious bond which it sounds like they do on some level off the field. Russ has been campaigning since this time last year to bring him in. I was impressed how AB kept his head down and worked hard and didn't cause any issues in Tampa, but how much of that was TB's massive influence? I would suspect it was everything. Hell, the dude was staying at his house for cryin' out loud.

Could Russ cultivate a similar relationship and keep AB on the same focused path? Hard to answer but if the price is right I would be willing to take that chance.

I think it said snead is back with Baltimore. I like Reynolds and Humphries. T.y. is out there and that is crazy. Extremely good reciever. Two years younger than brown. Had a bit of injury history so maybe he can come in cheap.

Still. Get kj back. Add another corner. A. Jackson or sherm. Then maybe reciever. And we can use draft on oline and dline.

    This.

We need a chain mover to go with our two great downfield threats. So Tate, Reynolds, Humphries, TY Hilton.

Some of these guys might be out of our price range, so yeah if we can get Brown for cheaper I'd kick those tires. But overall? These are the TYPE of WR3's we should be looking at...............good slot twitchy chain movers.

I don't get where the article's author, John Buhler, is getting the idea that the Seahawks have a financial edge over the Buccaneers. Both are slightly over the (OTC) cap and parked right next door to each other in the latest cap space pecking order. A lot of "if-could-may-maybe" hedges in the wording as well. The video's target audience appears to be Tampa Bay.

  • AB is like a women that gets married and divorced over and over again, fun to have around and has a great body, but as soon as you get hitched she turns into a she wolf, he did it in Tampa also, just that Arians had a way to keep him pacified long enough to get thru the season and he did eventually start performing.

    We had Percy Harvin

    We had T.O.

We had Deion Branch although not under Pete.

    We had TJ Houshmanzahda

High profile WR's don't seem to work here well.

Problem is they want the ball all the time, worked when they were the go to guy where they came from, not so much in a balanced attack which we are.

When you have to force the ball to them to keep them happy you create other issues, predictability or disgruntled other players.

Agreed. Part of the reason I dislike Brady.

For what its worth, I'm still against bringing that insane dope into the fold. Too many things with him can go wrong, and unlike Josh Gordon, he's a destructive narcissistic that'll want to create damage on the way out should things go south.

I haven't seen anyone criticizing Russ for wanting AB to come to Seattle.

People have criticized Brown, because he's a dumb ass. But Russ? Not that I've seen.

But Brown is a good example of why you don't allow your players to dictate signings and player personnel moves.

Me? Brown would not be my first choice as a WR3 signing. Not with guys like TY Hilton and Tate still out there. But if Brown could behave himself, which I know is a big IF? Then he is a good slot twitchy move the chains kind of receiver that we still need.
