  • I have been on a trade this and that guy rollercoaster as much as the next bro but sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side.

There is value in proven skills, and Wilson and DK have skills to spare. That being said, Wilson is aging however he is major trade bait. I want 3 firsts and 3 2nds for him...or no deal!

  • 3 small problems I could see with that:

    1) The Seahawks don't want to trade Wilson.

    2) Wilson doesn't want to go to Miami and he has a no trade clause.

    3) Miami isn't looking for a new QB.

    Other than that...perfect!

...and what's this nonsense with mid round picks in 2023? Never mind. Don't answer.

    3) Their QB kind of sucked last year. They might be looking.

Actually 3 1st round picks 2 2nd round pick 1 3rd round and 1 4th round pick along with Tua.

I would put DK in that trade because his contract is over in 2 years, and after that he will be looking for $$$$$.

    1. If they don't want to trade Wilson, then they would have refused every deal, and wouldn't had listened to people offering their picks + players.

    2. That's not true, he can expand his trade desitnation if he wants.

    3. Yes, some people don't believe in Tua.

So the Dolphins move down only 9 spots in the draft and pick up:

You are saying to trade one of the the best proven qb's in the game with the best young stud wr in the game for :

    3 firsts 2 thirds and a 4th.

So a third and a 4th are the difference. Absolutely not enough especially if DK is in the deal.

  • We don't do anything like this until we're for sure in rebuild mode.

8 and 8 or below? Definitely rebuild mode as that's the time to trade Russ.

9-7, 10-6, but still miss the playoffs? Probably still rebuild mode coming.

Make the playoffs, well that's everyone's first goal. As long as that keeps happening, there won't be a need to move Russ unless of course Russ ramps it up next year, in which case move him.

You're telling me they don't want to trade down and own the entire 5th round? I find this hard to believe.

On a serious note, I live in Miami and no one cares about the Dolphins here. The weather may be great (when it's not 100 degrees on gameday) but it's easy to see why someone wouldn't want to play for the Dolphins.

I am on the boat of trade Wilson now instead of next year because his trade value will likely to be lower a year from now. That said, your package way undervalue our stars.

  • I'm not sure this would be enough for both DK and Wilson. Miami could have offered a better package for Wilson before the Niners trade because the #3 pick guarantees you get a top 3 QB.

If Miami makes a trade, it's probably for Watson, depending on his legal status. Unlike Seattle, Houston is not built to win now and thus doesn't need an impact starter at QB immediately. They can take Tua and rebuild with 3-5 first-round picks. Meanwhile, to even consider a trade, Seattle would need to like a player in the draft, get the draft capital required to attain that player, and convince Wilson to waive his no-trade clause to play with that particular team. The odds of all three happening make it, essentially, a non-starter.

The only scenario that is even possible would be the Raiders, and that hinges on what you think Carr could fetch in a trade. If Carr is worth a top 15 pick or a 1st and a 3rd, then maybe they could scrounge a deal together. Aside from that improbable scenario taking place, it's not happening this season.

    1. If they don't want to trade Wilson, then they would have refused every deal, and wouldn't had listened to people offering their picks + players.

    2. That's not true, he can expand his trade desitnation if he wants.

    3. Yes, some people don't believe in Tua.

    1. not true you always listen that said it is a big difference between listening and someone being on the trader block.
    2. HE can expand but has not and again as of now Miami is not on those list so it is true
    3. SO they don't behave in Tua good for them does not mean they want to give up the farm to trade for a veteran QB

oh and FYi yous aid "If they don't want to trade Wilson, then they would have refused every deal," that makes no sense if they wanted to trade Wilson they would not have refused all the offers. But they did so that tells you either they don't want to trade Wilson or they have not gotten an offer they like. However, there is no PROOF Wilson is on the block at all.

  • I say trade Wilson for the reason that no one is bigger than the team... I think Wilsons ego is booming... take Ciera and go to Chicago as far as Im concerned...

I like the trade scenario with Chicago and the Jets only, I think the Hawks need to get another draft choice or a player...I have no problem with San Darnold, Roquan Smith, two first round picks and then add a third round pick... John Schneider will turn that into another epic draft... no one should eat up the cap space like RW is doing...If Wilson is truly unhappy better to deal him NOW rather than in his contract year...

  • As has been discussed ad nauseam for weeks, trading RW right now would be a death knell for the 2021 season due to the salary cap implications. As well, his public persona seems to have returned to team leader and hype man. He's all in for 2021, and as a fan I am following suit.

  • In the end, there are four possibilities:

    (1) Keep Wilson, fire Pete, let him have it his way, in couple.of years if thing still doesn't go his way? Blame the ownership, cause Pete is gone.

    (2) Keep Wilson and Pete, Pete calls shots on all football matters. Ooops this one won't work as Wilson has NO confidence in Hawks coaching staffs.

    (3) Trade Wilson next off season, just to save a few bucks. But Wilson's trade value likely to be lower, age and all. If he gets injured we might have problem moving him.

    (4) Trade him NOW, and start rebuilding back to strong defense, run the ball, and a game manager on rookie contract. Hey we won a superbowl that way, heck almost won two.

We shall suck without Russ, instead of first round playoff and out, we might not even in the playoff. But years of 1st picks to rebuild with.

Somehow I don't think Jody wants to deal with Russell Wilson without Pete.

:sarcasm_on: Wow. Impressive. When they were only down by 27 with a minute and a half left. :sarcasm_off:

Our Wilson could make that throw consistently.

What are the Jets going to do? I’d keep Donald but the GM needs to turn over a new leaf. Darnold would be $4.7 Million in 2021 and over $18 Million in 2022.

Zach Wilson will probably never be as good as him at QB, but Russ does not have that arm strength. Dude is throwing a 50 yard pass off his back foot and there is no air under it whatsoever. There are maybe 3 QBs in the league who can make that pass consistently.

somebody up that 80 yard ACCURATE touchdown pass to golden tate from russell wilson please.

accurate and under pressure, not throwing on pro day where there is no pressure.

until i see zach wilson or trey lance do that, knock it off.

I see Wilson getting sacked by Donald for -8 yards.

    Other than that...perfect!

...and what's this nonsense with mid round picks in 2023? Never mind. Don't answer.

    1) The front office had Russ on the trading block, so lets not assume he is loved by them.
    2) Miami is a loved location, he could be talked into it.
    3) Their QB kind of sucked last year. They might be looking.

    1. Prove the FO had RW on the trading block. All they did state that the opening range for a trade was 3- 1's plus, and some good players then listen to offers and none were close to enough. Offers may have been an exaggeration as the Bears were the only team that made a proposal which would not have really helped the team now. Let's not forget this rubbish was started by Wilson's expressions on unhappiness and his agent's advice about the 4 locations he'd waive his no trade clause to be traded to.

    2. Really, RW could be talked into it, by who? The destination wasn't one of his stated preferred locations.

    3. Don't disagree, but most first year QBs kind of suck. Miami has said they are not looking for a QB, so I doubt they'd be a trading partner.

Don't think your compensation is even close to anything the team would consider just for Wilson.

    Seems like a Maddenesque fantasy.

    1. actually we don't know they said that, nobody in the Hawks said that the opening is 3 1s. In fact nobody in the hawks has said anything.

  • Miami needs to give Tua a shot & draft TE Pitts or WR Smith or Center Slater.

Jets know who to call when they want to make a trade (Adams & Richardson) $$$ talks BS walks! If Seattle likes Darnold more than RW (I do) they will pay more than anyone else, then trade RW to the Bears or Oakland.

But for that to happen Jets would have to be dumb enough to draft Zach Wilson!

RW highlights consist mostly of WR’s beating DB’s not impressive throws! The TD pass to Lockett in the Rams game & a few bombs dropping it in the breadbasket that’s RW claim to fame which has only been unanimously agreed upon 2021,2020, & 2019, up to that time half the population thought RW was over rated.

I don’t care what RW did I want to know what he will do now 2021!

I don't believe that for one second. Even Bill O'Brien wouldn't trade Russell Wilson for Darnold. No matter what package was offered in return. PC/JS make that move it would end their tenure in the NFL. Neither are that stupid.
