Want To Attend Seahawks Games in 2021? Get Vaccinated

  • This is just my opinion but I firmly believe part of the strategy of getting 12's back in the stands this Fall is proving that you have been fully vaccinated. With interest waning, Governor Inslee is already talking about incentivizing through sports and entertainment. Regardless of where you stand on the issue (for the record my wife and I, STH's since 1997 are fully vaccinated), get ready for that to be a high probability.

  • Your opinion is correct. :) Want to root on the Seahawks in-person, get back to jamming the stadiums to root on our team? Get vaccinated. :D

I get shot #2 in 2 more weeks.

  • You want to REALLY incentivize people to get vaccinated beyond telling them they can be outside and do all the things they've already been doing since summer?

Then this is the stuff you need to do, unfortunately. But it's true.

  • I spent 3 days in ICU with Pneumonia 9 years ago, and funny enough, when COVID hit, it never really worried me.

However, I got both injections as soon as I was eligible, and always wear a mask, out of consideration for others. No matter what my beliefs, I never want to be the selfish person that gets someone else sick.

If I can get a Game ticket... I'll be there. :2thumbs:

  • Wife and I havent gotten the shots and dont think we will. People can still get Covid after the shots, some have had some bad side effects, almost everybody I know has been sick as a dog for a day or two after the second shot, not FDA approved,,,no thanks. We'll wait for further results down the line. If any event requires you to have proof of vaccination, thats an event I wouldnt want to go to anyways.

  • Had COVID. I’ve had worse colds. So I’m in no hurry to get the vaccine for something I still have the antibodies for. Until they allow me to stop wearing a mask, I don’t plan on getting the shot.

  • Those taking the JABS (not a vaccine but a treatment) are the test subjects. Around January 2023 we will know the results of the test run.

I have one question though, what do the vaccinated have to fear from non vaccinated? If the JAB works so well, nothing will make them sick. Another question, why allow mass immigration and quick release from infected individuals, who have never taken a vaccine in their lives? A third question, why were restaurants closed, but Walmart, Home Depot and Costco open and booming? Do we trust the Governor who acts like it is Armageddon for some businesses, including schools, but others it is OK?

I'll pass on mandatory treatments. GO HAWKS..

  • I’m getting the BioNTech vaccine and I don’t blame you guys at all for passing the vaccine. The India outbreak was the final straw for me, if India wasn’t hit recently I would be putting off the BioNTech vaccine. The other motivating factor is I believe in the BioNTech vaccine I can’t say the same for Moderna or J&J so I figure I better get it soon just in case it’s not available in the future.

After a year lock down, all the preventive measures, and the fact the world has been notified about COVID-19 there’s no way India should be experiencing all those deaths. I’m taking the BioNTech vaccine because it lays the foundation in your body for the other BioNTech vaccines (additives) that have not been released yet. They made additives for situations like India.

The BioNTech vaccine was deployed in South America last summer, it was successful and then they used Pfizer’s logistics to distribute it in the USA! So far they say a 100 million in the USA have been vaccinated that’s plenty!
The issues with vaccines are the FDA & Pharmaceutical Companies are corrupt developing a history of using contaminated lines to make SOME vaccines and covering it up. The other issues is Zoonosis when you develope vaccines on Mice Cells, Monkey kidney cells, etc.... they are making the human body vulnerable to that animals disease risk.
Example if you vaccinate people in Africa with a vaccine made from Monkey Kidney Cells obviously those people are going to be vulnerable to an Ebola strain that effect Monkeys!

  • Had Covid and I would compare it to a very lite cold. I have no need for a vaccine and it would be silly to require it. Israel just had a study showing those who have had Covid have a greater immunity than those who have taken vaccine.
I personally know a young man that was sent to ICU for a few days after taking the vaccine from blood clots. I don't believe the numbers they are giving for the number of problems they have had with this at all.

  • My two nephews were in the Hospital on a ventilator and oxygen, this past week, so $h!t on your hip pocket Dr. Phil assumptions and analysis.

In fact they sent them home still on oxygen, one ended up having to go back due to a total system collapse of his Kidneys, Lungs, and Gastral track needing to have his intestines operated on do to septic breakdown and now in shock on life support.

So you no vaccine, no mask people that think that just because you had light symptoms or have bot bot it doesn't mean others are not susceptible to worse symptoms.

Here in Fresno we are returning 70% of our vaccine supply because the demand is low. You can’t force Americans into anything they believe they’re free and will eventually kill you if you try! Americans are some most blood thirsty in human history, we nuked Japan twice, dropped Napalm on women & children in Vietnam, killed millions in Iraq, etc...... Those idiots think they can tell Americans what to do LOL!

What in the hell does any of that have to do with getting vaccinated? Millions killed in Iraq? Where do you get those numbers?
Whatever, the simple fact is that once you have had covid you have immunity. Not sure why this pisses off the last two posters. This is a fact and requiring people to get vaccinated for something they already have an immunity for is absurd. Especially for something that has issues and no one knows the long term effects of.

Covid attacks the lungs, guess what, lungs don't work other stuff stops working, blood pressure drops, the blood flow slows and stops in some organs and you have a major issue, no or limited blood flow in your Intestinal track and they start to die, rot, and you become septic.

Trouble with younger people is they still think they are invulnerable, poo poo off tells about the body, what happened with my nephews, they were told the renters that were kicked out had Covid after they started cleaning, infected their spouse and family, were expecting a fever first and figured they were safe if they didn't have it. Not so, the body reacted different in one of them.

Washington, and yes they picked it up from surfaces in the house or maybe the air, nobody knows, the Virus can be active in the air for a while, the whole family was infected from what we were told, metal and plastic surfaces the Virus can be active for a couple days from what the findings were saying, why they sanitize and clean places where infections were present.

  • I say if you want to attend a Seahawks game you buy a ticket like anyone else. If you feel that you are at risk, stay at home where it is 100% safe for you.

Many professions and hobbies have risks higher than those that would attend a Seahawks game. Welcome to the World, where your safety relies on you not others plan accordingly.

I prefer personal testimony I don’t trust the news! What was the timeframe between the infected people occupying the house and your cousins entering the house.
A virus surviving on metal & plastic for 48 hours isn’t normal!! Months went by before they figured out Ebola was infecting people from dried puke & crap! Once the crap dries it beaks up into small pieces floating in the air which can enter the lungs & eyes, keep in mind those small pieces are larger than the Covid virus. This is why so many doctors died treating Ebola in Africa they thought they didn’t need to suit up when patients weren’t present, those surgical mask didn’t do crap.

Same day, the people were evicted, they had not said anything about being infected to my nephews or the cops, it was after the fact when the cops had to cite them and take one of them to jail they found out, they people then admitted they knew they had covid.

They intentionally let the cops and nephews get infected because they were pissed off.

  • Wow.

There is so much disinformation in this thread, it's unbelievable.

One data point. Every single person at my job and every single person in my family and every single person in my extended family and every single person in every family that my family has contact with has been vaccinated.

Not a single person had any serious side effects of any kind.

The worst side effects -- and they were rare -- included

tiredness -- went away after less than 24 hours

headache -- went away after less than 12 hours

sore arm at the injection site -- went away substantially after 24 hours, completely after five days

In fact, there's evidence that now that we are vaccinating en masse in the United States that the odds of serious side effects are lower than anticipated. The vast majority of people haven't reported anything at all to the CDC, and if they had serious side effects, they'd end up in the hospital, where it would be reported. Ergo, if you take it and are fine, you are likely to not report anything, vs. anything serious is always reported... so when tens of millions are vaccinated, and only a few million take the survey, and of that group a tiny tiny fraction had any side effects, well, it's likely that the probability is much lower than just doing the math from the survey.

Also, there is zero evidence of any kind that people who have been vaccinated have the virus and can transmit it to other people. That's just complete and total poppycock. The COVID-19 vaccines do not use live or dead virus. Period.

I read this thread and I think we'll never get out of this hell hole that we're in. If people don't vaccinated, we will wear masks forever, we'll never have concerts or sports again, and the only ones who win are the Russian disinformation agents who are feeding the less intelligent Americans total garbage.

    Freedumb!

At the moment the United States government is paying for all treatment for all people who are COVID-19 patients.

If they continue to do this, it'll be more expensive than all the wars we've fought combined, and our nation will collapse.

I can only hope at some point that the government will stop having a blank check for these treatments, with appropriate warning of course. If you don't want to get vaccinated, don't expect to attend concerts or sports, and stop freeloading. You can do a Go Fund Me if you get sick with COVID-19.

  • The vaccine is safe. We won't get to herd immunity, and get back to life as normal for everyone, unless 80% of us get the vaccine. If you're on the fence, just get the vaccine. Side effects are minimal, and it will save your life, and the lives of those around you. Do the right thing. Get the vaccine.

  • I liken not getting vaccinated for risk of side effects to not driving a car for risk of an accident, and I’d guess the risk of a serious car accident is much higher than serious side effects of the vaccine.
I find it strange where some folks draw the line in the sand.

    Lol

Cherry picking stats hopefully you don't evaluate the team the same way.

Those selfish people that don't take it - hope they all get covid and realize screwed up sense of smell for the rest of your life sucks, brain issues hits 1/3 of people, reduced lung capacity isn't a good way to live life but hey as long as they didn't feel crummy for 24hrs totally worth it. Totally

Got work colleague that has smell and taste issues 6 months later and one using an inhaler for life now. My side effects from the shot - sore arm that's it. Wife was feeling crummy for 12 hrs. That's it.

Ability to go out bowling with friends and hit the bar and not worry because of 95% effiency - priceless

Why we care - if you don't understand that from recent news then you aren't getting it. Mutations is the main concern at this stage. Higher number of non-vaccinated people leads to higher chances of mutations and that the virus hangs around in large numbers.

The vaccine will need boosters. If the virus is around in large pockets of pepe it will continue to be a risk towards the end of a vaccine cycle.

You people also cost a ton of money. Look at cost of covid healthcare and numbers are astonishing. I assume you like to be a drain on society?

Lots of other reasons but tired arguing with people that can't understand logic because they are reading conspiracy posts. Hey there is a miniscule chance of getting side effects that are bad like 0.00001 percent so I am going to risk it with covid which isn't really bad at all AT A MUCH HIGHER PERCENTAGE OF SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS.

Yes, not wanting to be a test subject with a brand new vaccine represents everything that is wrong in the world.
How dare you not stick something in your body your not sure about. How dare you want to make your own decisions for your own health.
That definitely makes someone all that is wrong with this world no doubt.

By the way why does this bring such anger? If you want to vaccinate great do so. If it's effective then no worries for you or anyone else.

Vaccines of any kind aren’t just about the individual choosing to get or not get.

Aside from that, I’d bet a substantial amount of cash that anyone declining the Covid vaccine for personal health reasons does numerous things that are known to be unhealthy.

Choosing to/not to get the vaccine is a completely personal decision, it doesnt impact anyone else, and certainly says nothing about their standing in society. Please.

Depending on your age/health there are plenty of reasons to get or not get it. To think otherwise is just baffling. Where has our critical thinking and common sense gone?

Too much panic is taking its toll. Its sad to see.

  • These Morons and retards that feel they are going to be lab rats already are, the Bioweapon is the issue, yes it was lab created I firmly believe it, China has no qualms about doing this kind of stuff and wants every advantage in the world they can get. Their human rights and atrocities over history should tell the world this.

The vaccine everyone but those who want to dig their heels in the sand and not take is actually helping protect the morons and idiots. Can't fix stupid, but it can die off.

Problem is those people extend the life cycle of this virus by allowing more and more mutations to happen which could morph into something far more resistant to the vaccines we have developed to date.

They also continue to spread it.

This vaccine isn’t going to eliminate COVID though. It’s more like a flu shot, which never gets rid of the flu. If the vaccine eliminates COVID, then you have an argument. Right now, they don’t even know if it will be effective after 6 months.

  • Regardless of your position, you have to find humor in the fact that the same people that claimed they wouldn't accept the vaccine last year because of "who was in charge and how it was being developed recklessly against normal practices", will now verbally attack those who wont accept the same pandemic ending and life saving vaccine they stoked fear of in 2020.

  • This thread shows the challenges of getting out of this.

Those against getting vaccinated have paranoia, selfishness or a poor understanding of science and statistics...that's about it. This crowd is not new, they were around when eradicating polio became possible. It's one of my profound hopes that the anti-vaccine crowd will be accommodated far less going forward.

Over a year into this some don't understand that it's not just about them. When you don't get the shot you remain a possible vector to keep the cycle of COVID infection going, not to mention another chance for mutation that could repeat this whole damn nightmare again.

Thankfully, I believe enough of the population gets it. I also expect over time that vaccines will become increasingly mandatory. Employers and venues and others will make going without a vaccine harder. I then expect a whole lot of the "I'll pass crowd" to crumble when it comes to things like paychecks and education. Don't want that vaccine? Odds are there will be 4 more people ready to take your job that are happy to be vaccinated.

Vaccination remains your choice, but one with consequences. I definitely do not think anyone who is not vaccinated should be allowed at a Seahawks game for the coming season.

I get shot #2 in less than 2 weeks. Shot #1 made me groggy the day after, but hydration helped.

My father ended up in the ICU with COVID, in part because down in Arizona there are people "tired of living in fear" and that are "done with COVID". Well, it's not done with us and how we feel about it is irrelevant. He got his first shot a week before me (the shots can still provide additional protection, even if you have had it).

Actually, whether you are vaccinated or not DOES impact other people. How you don't fathom that is beyond comprehension. It frankly says a lot of bad things about you. If you can't figure out how it does affect other people, I really feel sorry for you.

  • First, let me state that I have been vaccinated, and you probably should be if you are not already.

Nonetheless, the clinical trials of the vaccines did not test for the efficacy of preventing transmission. Now, there is some promising evidence that it does have a high degree of efficacy, but that research (the last time I check) is still in its relative infancy and thus inconclusive.

This means that, with the data that is currently available, even if you are vaccinated, going to a crowded sporting event is a bad idea because you can still spread the virus (albeit to a lesser degree than someone who is unvaccinated).

So perhaps we shouldn't shame the unvaccinated under the pretense that their actions are the only ones with consequences and acknowledge that the primary reason there is a push for vaccinations is not for health and safety but to open up the economy permanently. Because if the goal were health and safety, we would not have huge sporting events even if every attendee was vaccinated.

  • I am one of the biggest hypochondriacs I know and I didn't even hesitate to get vaccinated. Come on people.

My wife and I did have some of the symptoms that were mentioned we might experience after the second dose (Moderna). It was basically low-grade fever, lethargy, very slight, slight chills and some mild headaches here and there.

It basically felt like that feeling you get right when you feel like you may be coming down with something. It lasted a few hours, we went to bed and woke up the next day feeling 100%. Walk in the park.

Anything scientific will be called not conclusive until a bunch of studies are done. Just like the vaccines aren't fully approved.

The studies have enough indication to show at least 80% less likely to be able to spread Covid if you have taken them. Kind of like we all knew who was going number 1 in the draft, but we weren't sure. Not 100% so it was inconclusive.

Not being a guinea pig pin cushion is whats wrong with the human race? They've been searching for a vaccine for the common cold for nearly 100 years now with no success, but i'm sure your good to go with the FDA unapproved cocktail they whipped up in a years time. Look, I live out in the boondocks, work from home, and never go anywhere. I think i'm good waiting a little while for a more thorough breakdown of the whole thing before I commit.

Fair enough. If you're distanced and socially responsible, it's really a non-issue.

The vaccines don't make people 100% immune. It greatly reduces the risk of needing to be hospitalized, or needing a ventilator to survive. Not to mention all the other longer term side effects people diagnosed are having.

Back to the original topic at hand, it will be good to have all the 12s back in the stands again. I can't wait.

  • Only 30% of the US population got the vaccine (im assuming thats at least one shot?). More shots need to be followed, apparently. My neighbors are Orthodox Jews and said they wont get it, I respect that. However of the 30% that are vaccinated how many of those people attend sporting events? I'm afraid it's going to take years for stadiums to be packed with raging fans again. It's pretty unfortunate this has caused so much divide, hopefully pro-vaccine/pro-mask citizens won't cause any harm to others especially with the weather getting nicer and people will be outside more. I would hate to see actual violence over this stuff.
