I love Matt, but of course not. Who on Earth ever suggested he should be?

You're viewing these stats in a modern context. An 80 PASSER RATING, not QB RATING, was above average in the early 2000s believe it or not.

Still nowhere near a HoF career, but let's at least consider the era.

Perhaps but lets say 2004 he was 17th and that was with a 83 QB rating. In fact he never ranked higher than 3rd his career in Qb raring and that was 2005. of this 11 years of 7 or more games he avg 16th so even back then not great

In 2004 he had an 88.8 PASSER RATING, which was good for 8th in the league.

Only 15 quarterbacks had a PASSER RATING above 80.

ROH absolutely, HOF no, he was not a guy that could carry a team if needed, he was a piece of a complex offense that needed everyone to work correctly, yes he was the field general, but not HOF.

No.

And I really liked Matt. But he's not a hall of fame quarterback.

The only Seahawk hall of famers under Holmgren are Jones and Hutchinson. Alexander sparks a ton of debate, but I'll be surprised if he ever makes it.

Matt Ryan > Matt Hasselebeck when it comes to Boston College "Matt"

No, although I would argue his heroics in the playoff victory against the Saints (best remembered for Beastquake) was among the best QB performance in Seahawks playoff history (Wilson's heroics against Green Bay are tarnished by his helping to dig the hole in the first place and starting now very tired motifs of "he can't play in the rain" and we can't play well in the first half).

If there was a "good guy" and best personality section of the HOF, then absolutely. I mean the Seahawks "practice slides" video on Youtube should be rewatched at least once a year

Matt still might be my favorite Seahawk of all time (or at the very least top three) but he's nowhere close to HOF material.

Listen, I like Matt, as much has the next fan but Hasselbeck is not HoF worthy.

Seahawks, legend, and Ring of Honor but no where near HoF.
