So. We've all been told that it will take a first round pick. To people with premium subs and to those for whom this information is instantly available, how many first rounders do we have in 2022, 2023 and 2024?

And then there is the cap situation. For sure if they get Julio, they won't have room for KJ.

The FO giving up cash and resources for a luxury pick that they cant afford and dont need. Sounds about right.

Yeah I'm not a fan of this move either.
Especially since we just drafted perennial all pro Dwayne Eskridge

Wouldn't it be nice to be the best in a position in the NFL? The hawks don't have that right now, but they would if they picked up Jones.

Its 3rd and 14, deep in the 4th quarter and the Hawks are down by 4...guess what? Pick up Jones and you know they have a chance!

Any WR can go down at any point, Jones might not be a major need right now but he would be if DK or TL get injured.

Pick him up, let Russ and fans have some fun!

Apparently, Pete loves to get his ass kicked in the trenches every year. He refuses to seriously invest money upfront. But he is a dog chasing firetrucks when ever a receiving target is available.

Also this: Lockett $18M, Julio $15M + 2nd rdr, DK about to make 20M+, And 2nd rdr on Eskr8dge. Paying the QB $35M.

He wants to run the ball btw.

Did any of you actually read the article? Florio is just reporting that some online sportsbook called pointsbet has the Seahawks as the betting favorite to land Julio. Florio also said in that very same article that in his opinion "Seattle should be regarded as a longshot" to land Julio.

It would be one of those looks better on paper than what translates on the actual field deals if he somehow ends up in Seattle.

If we get Julio, he will be our #1.

If any of our trio WR gets hurt, we would still be in great shape offensively.

It seem like DK & Lockett tends to disappear in quite few games, especially Lockett.

I think we should go all in and not worry about draft picks next 2 seasons. 2024, Seahawks will have to do another soft reset.

Pretty much did that, why we only had three draft picks.

We should do it again next 2 seasons.

Our team looks better than last year.

I'd rather trade for CB Stephon Gilmore instead of WR Julio Jones.

I think the Hawks are thin @ CB ; so Gilmore makes sense . The receivers room is well stocked already . There are needs and there are wants . Needs should be priority . IMO

I'm on the xray bandwagon, although I have high hopes for the Brown Reed combo as corners. Blair in the middle is a whopping difference maker. Going in to last year he was designated as the best coverage guy we had. With help from the D Line we might make life pretty miserable for opposing Os.
I like Julio and think he's great, but we have other spots that need upgrade more than WR. Eskridge seems like the real deal to me.

Meh, Florio makes crap up daily. Next
This isn't going to happen, I can't get worried about it even a little bit. People get mad at the front office over rumors that are not going to happen. Every....single....year.

Would love to see Gilmore end up here, that is a huge need. Jones would be a luxury.
But, relax and let it play out. Jones is not coming to Seattle.
This isn't a "move"
It's just typical stories created for clicks. Does Russ want him here? Of course he does. ANY QB in the NFL would crap himself if he got a WR like Julio Jones. Doesn't mean it's going to happen.

There's already not enough balls to go around. If this is true, I don't understand.

Someone should lock Pete into a chair, brace his eyelids open (Clockwork Orange-style), and play the footage DK pouting then that pick-six, forced bubble screen.

I know Russ is campaigning for JJ. I mean, what QB wouldn't want that kind of dynamic play maker that possess the ability to make any QB look good (not calling Russ an "any" QB).

That being said. It does confuse me a bit how Russ, on one end, publicly says that the team needs to primarily invest in his protection, yet on the other end, advocates spending significant economic and draft capital on relatively high priced pieces like AB or JJ. Although potent weapons, these guys don't do much for keeping Russ upright.

Maybe because he never had legit top #1 receivers?

Absolutely...

Fair point. If Jones allows Russ to get rid of the ball quicker, than consider two birds killed.

I would just add that I believe he has a really good 1 and 2 at the moment with the number 3 still suspect. I guess my point is if we do land Jones at a high price (partially because of Wilson's pressure) , I think that takes away a little leverage Russ has to complain at his lack of protection if he continues to have pocket issues. Hoping it's not even an issue.
