Russ probably figures he is leaving.
He already got hurt by some of the pressure he took, and he might not want to take the risk getting hurt if he wants to play somewhere else.
Sure it hurts his trade value but that just makes him easier to get rid of.
He certainly looks like someone playing to keep from getting injured.

Every time he gets up from getting knocked down he just has a sleepy look on his face. I don’t know if hes just dumbfounded himself by not comprehending how bad they are or he really doesnt care and gave up. But he certainly doesnt look like his old self, and I don’t mean his actual gameplay either.

This is what happens when he has to play within the system. He's checking out because if he doesnt have read one, he cant get to read two and he cant make magic anymore. Its frustration at not being able to 'fix' the problems he's always had.

credit to him for hitting the broken coverage for the TD but then AGAIN in the endzone, instead of anticipating the wr's coming open he stands there and waits, watching, for the defender to cover...
